from general internet vibes walmart is hell on earth
Yeah, I really don't like Wal-Mart. At all. I don't know why Karleigh's so in love with it. It's basically evil. I only go there when I absolutely have to. Which, unfortunately out here in Hunterdon County, is kind of often.

Well, I don't love it, it smells funny. But come on, where else can you get jeans for $19???? The answer is Target, and I prefer them over Wallie World any day.

Lol! "Wallie World" how cute! I love Target, but not Walmart. Maybe it's the atmosphere. I wish I could show you guys the Walmart in a city called Apache Junction, which is right out in the middle of the desert and loaded with trailers and hillbillies. You guys would be amazed and facsinated. The people are nice, but my goodness, they're a bit frightening to look at.

I have to say, I do love Target jeans. Yes yes, Target's probably no better a corporation than Wal-Mart. But their stores are just so much cuter! And I love their jeans. Even if they don't last for over a year.
I just bought a 7 piece luggage set for $104, massive amounts of storage bins, 2 more pairs of jeans, Nick and Nora PJ's (dude, when did they start selling those?), and some other fun stuff at Target today. I'm going to miss Target when I move to England. *tear*
I know, their jeans don't last that long. Right now I actually take off the button to washt them just so I won't lose it. Then I slide it back in the whole and wear a belt. It's sad.
haha... i think ive only been to a walmart maybe four times in my life.
my mom refuses to go there because of their commercials- apparently, when the smiley used to knock the prices down, they actually fell and made breaking-glass noises. so my mom had nightmares where she'd be in walmart and the prices would fall on her and severely injure her. so she's never been to a walmart and refuses to go there. ever.
actually, we tend to have more sears/tj maxx where i live. actually, thats a lie. there's targets, but they're on the highway so my mom refuses to drive there. she doesn't like highways either. so I end up going to the sears more often because its in the mall and we can get there on backroads.
for clothes, i go to bobs and kohls, mostly. and wherever i get gift cards to.
^^I love TJ Maxx. I got (well, my mom got) my Dooney + Bourke purse there for $80.

there's a walmart in china, i was watching this msnbc thing about walmart. the people in china love walmart.
I was actually reading something about Wal-Mart in China and about how they have to advertise differently because the Chinese buy differently than Americans. Here, they push supersize, bulk packages, but the Chinese tend to walk or bike to the store, so they can't carry home all that much. It was kind of interesting...I guess...I think I made it sound a whole lot less interesting, haha...
I like how this thread has gotten up to 4 pages, so any visitor would be like, "omg, how are they still talking about that track???" without realising that now we're just comparing Wal-Marts and such. Haha.
I'm going to Walmart tomorrow, actually..I'm super excited, I always get armfuls of cosmetic junk for cheeaap. You guys have no idea how much I wish we had Target over here. They look like so much fun.

I also heard that Wal Marts have different items in different locations around the world, like regional stuff.
yah they do, like their walmarts have squid and laundry soap for hand wash, since alot of them don't use washing machines.
