As far as I know, OK Go themselves have no issues with being taped or recorded during shows. They wouldn't have a YouTube group set up by their own webmaster if that were the case.
The issue really is the venue. Some places are cool with it; others aren't, or only are for certain shows. Your best bet is to call the venue ahead of time and see what their policy is.
No, OK Go def. have no qualms with people recording things. They have never ever said that they have, and I have seen them A LOT... Infact I showed Dan a video I had taken on my phone and he liked it, so it wont be them.
BUT tonight they will play at Brown together with Wilco and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.
Now i heard from some tapers who e-mailed Brown (venue) they got a reply, saying not all of the bands preforming are okay with taping and therefore taping was not allowed.
Seeing Wilco and Ted Leo and his band are cool with taping, they were thinking ok go isn't allowing to tape, which is strange reading the blog / replies here.
Huh. That's weird. Bring your camera anyway, and see if you can't get away with recording. If the security tries to take it away from you, just start yelling "HELP ME DAMIAN!" really loudly and see if you can't get his attention.

As long as you aren't going to HOB, you're pretty much OK.
I think you're pretty much good to do anything as long as it isn't at HoB. HoB is the man, man.
Well, I am from Europe and I am/was just hoping somebody could tape (audio/video) some OK Go..
Anyways I e-mail info@okgo.net and this is what I got back: Of course, selling isn't/making profit is not allowed, but rest seems ok (as long as venue allows).
--> so if there is anybody, who is going to see OK Go in future and can tape them that would be real cool Sorry, but what/who is HoB
Pete is my best friend!!! He's so nice!!! I love him! Anywho, when you tape the event, please post them on YouTube so we can share.

Oh, and btw, welcome to the Boards!
I read about about the YouTube project, which make me think they don't have much
trouble with taping their shows, but just to be sure..
As long as you aren't going to HOB, you're pretty much OK. OK Go requests that you tape shows, in fact.

HoB = House of Blues = the venue in Orlando, FL where Damian was arrested.
