So they kind of suck, but I was too excited to care. I especially like how their suits make them seem even more retro. Apparently this is more images than "one is allowed to post" plus they're kind of big, so I'll just leave you with links to sexiness.
amazing! what kind of camera do you use? i use the 600 kind, which never works that well in dark-lighted areas so all the polaroids i took at the ok go concerts i've been to aren't nearly as clear as yours.
...and i spit on the person who decided to charge so much for polaroid film. that's where half of my savings are spent on.
My favs are the 4th one down and the 2nd one up from the bottom. There's something about polaroids that are far cooler than any other cameras. They have a spontaneity to them that's unparalleled in other forms of film.
I'm so glad you think so! I know you're way more experienced than I am with it (if you don't count me playing around with it when I was three), so I was totally nervous that you wouldn't like them. According to the very dusty box, it's a Supercolor 635CL..? And yeah, the prices are seriously ridiculous. I haven't been able to afford film pretty much since I took those.
ah, i'm so jealous. i've wanted a 635CL for a long time. where did you manage to get one?? the closest thing i have to it is a sx-70, but i only use that one for my art class. for everything else, i use the newest version, which has an annoying flash and much too plastic-y surface.
but i love polaroids because of the instant gratification. i'm too impatient to use "real" photography.
Wow. Those are awesome! Even though by conventional standards they may not be "so great" (eg, the heads in the way), because of the way they look as polaroids, it actually makes them far more interesting! (Does that make sense?)
Um, I wanna' figure out how to make decent icons out of these now, haha. Do you mind if I use them?
Also, not really related- anybody know how to make colour bars? I really want to make one that says "The Damian-Rusty Duet is Love."
Here's the problem. That's currently 100x123 pixels, and most places won't let you use icons over 100x100. Here's what it looks like when I reduce the size to 81x100:
which looks rather small to me. Is it too small? Can you tell what's going on? I want to keep the polaroid border, 'cause I still want it to look like a polaroid. I also want to put "OK Go" or "Damian" on the bottom, but I want to make it look like someone wrote it in Sharpie, and I don't know how to do that on Paint....(damn having no Photoshop...)
Also, I don't think you can make a 'colour bar' with only paint.... cos you need to change the tints/hues of the photos. I made one of them a while ago of Ryan with barry from the futureheads (tho it actually turned into a whole screen hahahaha) Infact I printed it out. Pity its on my old pc tho. nevermind.

Yeah...I might have to con one my LJ friends into making one for me...

Excellent pics.
Edit: Thanks! I totally agree.

(Oh, darn, I forgot to save it is a .png, too...)
Also, I love your photos. I hate my polaroid camera. But seeing your photos has almost made me wanna get it out the cupboard!!!
Or even just take my 35mm one along, I love the suspense and expectation of waiting for a photo to see how it turned out!!!
Uh yeah, random. Love the photos. Good work lol x
P.S. Katy, I wish I could help but I can barely function with just paint.
This is a colour bar (I'll post a Cillian one ):
(This one is supposed to say "The Long Hair Is Love," but I'm too lazy to figure out how to get that to post with it. )
They're pretty rampant across things like LJ.
Edit: So I tried making another polaroid icon out of the same shot, I just took a smaller crop of Damian:
Yes no maybe?
"Poho County Square Dancing Champions, 1974."
I am just madly in love with the fact that you used a polaroid!!! I LOVE polaroids!!!
BAHAHA!
And that looks really awesome, Katy!

Really? 'Cause I just made two more.
*feels creative* *also feels like homework is not being done...*
