    I'm really sad.
I've finally found my place in high school (hence why I haven't been on the boards in foreverrrzzz), and then it ends.
    Jeez.
This sucks. I'm terrified. I don't want high school to end.

Ah, that feeling is so universal. Just when you get comfortable, you're thrown into being a freshman again someplace else. It feels just aweful. But look at it this way, if things stayed the same, you would soon become very bored. That doesn't help much, but college can be fun. You get to wake up and go to sleep at crazy hours, unlike the strict high school schedule. You'll meet crazy people. Ah, but that sadness is normal and natural. I know you'll go onto have more new hillarious adventures very soon. *Virtual Huuug*
  • i remember the last month of high school scared me, cause i hadnt been accepted to any college yet. i had no idea what it would be like to not have everything pre planned for you, luckily i get to go to art college which is surprisingly alot like high school, but with more nudity. so dont worry about the future, it going to be good, i promise.
  • You guys are wonderful.

I'm actually stoked about living with a stranger. In fact, I was disappointed when someone said that new Americans usually get the dorms where you don't share. I want a rooommate sooo badly!

I'm stoked for St. Andrews. I Just wish I didn't have to give up my friends here for it.
  • I don't think I'd ever be able to share a room. They have shared rooms at St. Andrews? Thats so weird. We don't really do stuff like that in the UK.... But you'll have to share a kitchen and stuff with other people, I'm sure you'll have an awesome time smile.gif
  • Oh memories *le sigh*

Yeah they have lots of shared rooms, because a lot of the old dorms are hotels they bought out, so many of the rooms are HUMONGOUS, so they just stick two beds in em.
And yeah, bathrooms and kitchens are all shared.
  • just dropping by to wish congrats and all the best to ya, spongie!
...everytime i play anything by kissing tigers and the velvet teen, i think of you. mmm, "gyzmkid." have you heard?

also, congrats and best to miss jaded.
  • You have kitchens as a freshman?! *jealous* and I wish I could've gone abroad all four years but my parents weren't fans of the idea of me being in Switzerland for 4 years.

    Awww!
No! I haven't heard it yet, and I didn't get the EP in time. I saw them in concert though, and I'm really frightened I'm going to ruin the new CD experience, because the new stuff is so different from Elysium. So I'm being patient and waiting for the record to come out. But at least I'm not really expecting it to be like Elysium, because if I was, I would be disappointed... do you like Gyzmkid??

and yeah, we get kitchens, but they're really basic, and it's like 20+ people to one kitchen.
  • RE: shared kitchens....

let me give you ony tiny piece of advice... DO NOT take brand new/expensive cutlery/crockery pans etc. Unless you're provided with a cupoard with a lock on it, none of your things will be safe. Or your food. So beware. I HATED living in halls, I'm so glad we have to get houses for our 2nd/3rd years. Although I'm moving out of my house tomorrow and it was so lovely, and I'm really scared that we wont find a nice on for our final year *gah*

So yeah, beware of missing food and missing *items* because people are RUDE and also dirty eugh.

yes, i like "gyzmkid" a lot, and i'm excited if that single is indicative to the velvet teen's new sound. but i haven't heard much from their old album, and i'll have to go back and give it more listens.
