Has anybody else read this?

I know we've all seen the pics of the guys dressed up for New Year's, but has anybody else read this article written by someone from the Fine Tooth people that suited them up that evening? It's really, very well-written.

My favourite bit:

“I have a great relationship to my music,” says Kulash. In fact, a bit of maturity and a developing persona as the Victorian patterned, Rococo glam, Oscar Wildean, rock sophisticates has widened their appeal to include a more discerning audience. Which explains why they are now opening for the likes of Spoon and Kaiser Chiefs.

(Yeah yeah, so it was a while ago, but I just read the article two minutes ago, and I wanted to share it...)

  • thanks for the link.... i just read it right now. very interesting.
  • I've had it in my favourites list for a while, it's really great.
  • This still contributes to my theory that I should actually compile a database website of all the interviews, so that we don't keep re-stumbling upon these tiny jewels in the rough.
  • i quite like the "guys, we're a good band part." it's such a babysitters-club-esque moment.

    YES

    Great article.
  • I hate making new topics for absolutely no reason, so i'm going to post in this thread...because it's sort of related. sorry in advance if it's been posted before.

Anyway...i found this interview/video thing that the guys did for Sundance 2003. It's just Damian and Tim answering 8 questions. I'd rather the videos were continuous rather than broken down into individual questions, but it's still a pretty good interview.

    Video: Sundance 2003

    Highlights:
    1. They talk about the Truth in Music videos
    2. Damian seems a bit manic. (haha, i'm not sure if that's the word I want to use...) Overall though, it comes off more as cute and quirky than weird.
  • haha.

Q: Are you doing any snowboarding or skiing?
Damian: "I like to slide down hills in my shoes, cause, look, they're really slippery, you know?"

trying to explain the truth in music songs... priceless.
"Yeah, we have a, uh, like, a modern but old-style R&B song...about dentistry."

that was a really good interview. thanks for sharing!
