The Sleepy Jacksons new album, titled "Personality - One Was A Spider, One Was A Bird" is a bloody fantastic album. Just bloody incredible. This is the iTunes notes on it:
"Welcome to the new album from the Sleepy Jackson - Personality - One Was A Spider, One Was A Bird. This time, it's the Sleepies in widescreen: part Brian Wilson, part Beck, and part Broadway musical. The ensuing blend is already stirring up critics and fans with its ecletic scope and grand production. But at the heart of the album is Luke Steele and his uplifting melodies, words that attempt to heal the soul and come housed in a truly one-of-a-kind vision."
If you do a few google searches you'll be able to fine the video for God Lead Your Soul, well, at least I know that if you search for it at YouTube it's there. Be sure to check it out, it's a fantastic clip. But yeah, I rock.
P.S If you didn't know already, the Sleepy Jackson are a
Perth-based band

I wish I could give Sleepy Jackson a chance but I have despised them ever since I saw them live at the Big day Out in 2004 and they insulted the fucking crowd.
I just can't respect that. I was standing around waiting for the Darkness to go on the Blue Stage and all of a sudden some twit who I'd never even heard of was abusing the crowd. Most uncool.
Basically, the crowd was apparently a bunch of losers, teenyboppers, throw in a tonne of expletives, tell people to fuck off and you've got what the lead singer said.
Apparently he thought the majority of the crowd was there to see them. Silly dick didn't seem to realise the majority of people were standing around waiting for the good acts to come on stage and having to listen to him ramble on was just a nuisance we had to put up with. I had the urge to throw something at the stage.
... and i here sleepy jackson on the radio, and thats the way i like it

<3<3<3<3 Ben Lee.
Every time I hear the beginning of "Get Over It" I initially think it's "Catch My Disease".
God say Ben Lee in November last year. Tell him, "God says you and Missy Higgins need to shack up".
And God is a she.
of course god is a gal
edit: if missy higgins is the piano player, then yes they should, that would be uber cute

Yes, Missy Higgins is "the piano player". She and Ben are adorable together. I made them for each other.
haha I like you a lot, God.
I hate when bands don't appreciate the crowds. Even on their worst days, nobody should ever feel they have the right to abuse people who paid to see them (or the headliners as the case may be).

God will have her revenge.
Because they were the only band playing that early in the morning that I could give a fuck about seeing?
The best bands come on in the afternoon and evening.
I also don't care how long ago it was, people who are arseholes just don't suddenly become good. If you disprespect your fans and potential fans I don't like you, it's as simple as that.
My verdict on the new Sleepy Jackson album...it's okay, but not my cup of tea. I'd rather listen to Mew.

While that is true (that people can change), I don't think having a bad day is really an excuse for insulting your existing and potential fan base. I have bad days all the time but I still have a job to do and if I blew up at someone just 'cause I was having a bad day I'd be in a lot of shit. It's just not an excuse.
