I was having the absolute worst day today. It's a long story but essentially I got home from work this afternoon cranky, sore and tired and generally just in a seriously bad, bad mood, but all that changed when I found that AMAZON.COM HAD SENT ME A PACKAGE.
A PACKAGE CONTAINING MY OK GO CDS.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
<3<3<3 Amazon.com has officially made my day alright again.
Without it I would have had to have waited eight WEEKS for the local CD store to import the CDs to Australia, but Amazon.com sent it to me in eighteen days
Just wanted to express my joy at finally having my OK Go CDs with people might actually appreciate my excitement.

lols well aren't you just SPECIAL
I ran all over the Gold Coast searching for OK Go and every single CD store told me, "Oh we don't have it, but we can order it in for you. It'll be about six to eight weeks."
I'm sitting there thinking, "WTF, Six to Eight Weeks? I can get it in six to eight DAYS from amazon.com, biznatches!"
I seriously don't know what I'd do without amazon.com. Probably have to start listening to like... Australian music :|
First impressions, fave songs?

Maaaaan. Not that Australian music.
hahaha.
The Veronicas is Aussie isn't it? Oooh, and the Vines too, I think(or The Hives? One of them, I get them confused). Is that was most Australian music sounds like, or is it a bunch of different crazy genres? (Aussie country, Aussie Rap, Aussie....blues, Aussie...yodeling. Aussie Opera...)
I just hope every single one involves this..
Is that the singer of Jet?
lol

lol I've had "television, television" on repeat for most of the night. Don't ask me why, but I love it. It was one of the songs I couldn't find online. I had about half of each album on my computer before they arrived so I sort of already knew what to expect, but it was still exciting to finally hear everything and hold a pretty CD in my hand. A bit confused as to why my "Oh No" album cover loooks different to every picture of the album cover I've seen online, but I figure it must be a different version or something.
Definitely in love with them

lol. That question amuses me.
Naturally Australian music comes in all different kinds of genres, pop, rock, country (ewww), rap (even worse - Aussie rap = worst thing in the world 'cause it's rap, only worse) and so on. You should really download some Australian rap if you want to have a laugh, our accents just make it ridiculous.
I have few favourite Australian artists but they include Ben Lee (WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE) and Missy Higgins.
On most occassions you wouldn't even know that an artist is Australian without being told. I guess I just am not a fan of most of the current popular Australian acts that are out at the moment.
That song always makes me think of the first OK Go show I saw, before I really knew their songs well. I'd listened to my friend's CDs before the concert a few times, but that's it. Anyway, when that song started, all these kids there were singing along with it and it seemed like Damian thought that was very cool. I mean, the album had only been out a couple months, and this was kind of a "homecoming" show for them, so it was quite cool to observe.
And once you're able to get that entire song down, lyrics-wise, and sing it without a mistake in the car, you feel quite pleased with yourself. That's a bonus with that song. lol
Now I hope yours actually did come in that wrapping or what I just said will have made no sense whatsoever.
Glad you're loving them!

It's just the reddish wallpaper, right? And what you've seen online is black w/"ok go" in the reddish wallpaper design, right? If you take a peek at the black plastic it probably came in and that you ripped off to get at the CD, you'll probably find it started out looking like it looks online--the "ok go" part of the wrapping is clear plastic, which let the wallpaper design show through. Voila: the "album cover" you see everywhere online.

Do you like Nick Cave at all? I have a friend who's a serious devotee.
I'm all excited about getting a Cd player installed in my new car so I can finally listen to some music while driving. I can't get any radio in my car 'cuase it's a foreign import and japanese stations are completely different to Australian so I can't pick up any of our stations lols and the tape deck is broken. Damnit. OK Go will definitely be taking the CD players music virginity, though.
Black plastic OK Go like Sigur Ros' "( )" album, you mean? Alas! No black plastic! Obviously amazon.com were mean and didn't send me any black plastic. In the words of Stephanie Tanner: "How Rude".
OMG, Australia's been punished with "Full House"??? What have you done to deserve this??

Darn tootin'. I've taken to downloading songs onto my phone and playing my phone really loud in my car but... it's really bad quality.
Yeah, the CD's don't seem to come with the black plastic outside when you get them through the mail, or if you go somewhere like Borders where they slap that theft deterrent plastic thing on them.
That made no sense whatsoever.
btw, don't waste your time trying to figure out what Track 14 is or what it's about....

Oh, it's OK, I already searched Track 14 on the forums and read all your old threads.
The last thing I wanted to be was one of those horrible newbies that asks the question that has been answered a thousand times before

There are also threads of interest (well, that's if you're interested) on the subject that you can find with "9027 km"--just wanted to let you know they don't all come up with "Track 14."
