IF you didn't just get this email, then you're not on the chicago email list. tell pete@okgo.net that you ought to be.
Don't have anything to do for the next thirty seconds? Q101 needs your help. For some reason, they're not playing the new single, Here It Goes Again. And you know what? We think they should.
So, if you're feeling charitable (or bored), do us a favor and make a request for Here It Goes Again. You can do it by phone, web or text.
And if you actually hear them play the song, super most definitely call them up and thank them for playing OK Go. That's the sort of feedback that makes them feel all warm and mushy inside.

Program it into your phone, and into your friends' heads. If you don't, you'll never forgive yourself.

nor did i... how could you keep such a secret from me Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore?!?
I called Q101 yesterday and Fook said vaguely, "I'll see what I can do ..." Called today and he said, more confidence-inspiringly, "I'll see if I can squeeze it in."
I haven't been able to listen at all except for a couple hours after work (the past two days) so I haven't a clue whether they're playing it.
Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore
random, yet smooth.
Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore
I still don't get it.
But the main thing I wanted to share was this! Mailing list message from J orge yesterday:

OK Go on Q101 This Afternoon, Local News Tonight
OK Go is landing at O'Hare at this very moment, fresh off their performance last night at the VMAs. If you didn't see it, watch it here: OK Go on the VMAs
The boys were out pretty late last night, but they still managed to make an early morning flight and get to the Q101 studios in time for a live acoustic performance, which is being taped, along with an interview, by the NBC 5 news team.
Tune in to Q101 to hear the boys at their most groggy and grumpy. I think they're going on around 2pm.
And, of course, if you hear Q101 play Here It Goes Again, do us a favor and call them up and tell them how much you like the song. Maybe ask them to play it again. Calling up after today's performance would be a nice way to practice. You can call them at 312-591-8300, or text your request to 99161
And if you're feeling grumpy or groggy yourself and can't be bothered, I understand. It's Friday afternoon before a long weekend. I'm just glad you opened this email. Thanks for that.
have a great weekend,
Mr. Mr. Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore
............
Ahhh! So then I emailed Twitch at Q101 and asked him if/when the performance and interview would be up on the website, and he answered last night already saying early next week. Yay!!
I was going to watch the news but then it completely slipped my mind. IDIOT DORK
So anyway, that's that! I wonder where they are right now ..............
Oh, and someone at work told me there was a really short thing about them on the VMAs on WGN yesterday morning.
The player is small but it's a neato performance. Andy, Damian, Tim doing HIGA acoustic.
And the interview plus pictures: http://www.nbc5.com/entertainment/index.html (scroll down a bit--it's under Local Entertainment)
The interview has a bit of them playing "Do What You Want" too. They sound very tired in the interview. Crazy kids.
And Damian's hair in the third picture is a sight to behold.
And I happened to hear HIGA on the radio for the first time, on Q101 tonight. I thanked the DJ (Sherman) as Mr. Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore instructed.
AND ... today at work I was listening to WXRT's new online music channel (as opposed to their "listen live" feed), and in the midst of that, a friend returned my OK Go CDs after borrowing them for a week. So I put in "Oh No." Listened to it and took it out. Went back to XRT's music channel and pushed "play," and what greets my astounded ears? "Do What You Want"!! I about fell out of my chair. And it was a prime spot for me to come into it too--it was right when the middle guitar part starts before the background "come on come on come on come on"s come in.
Just one of those moments.
i like that there's a picture of kill hannah on that page...
thanks for the links sheri...
Thanks SHERI!
Whoa, when did I become SHERI? Did you trip when you said that?
The youngins' on the JC like to use them, and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
Apparently it's not that cool.
Another white girl! **high fives**
BTW, that was not racist.
I knew you would think that was funny. Other people ((**cough** Katy! **cough**)) might take offense.
It's ok, he posted this more than a month ago. I'm sure there will be more.
