GMA (booo!) Conan (yay!)
Tomorrow's GMA appearance has magically transformed into a Late Night with Conan O'Brien appearance. That's right, GMA cancelled on us. But Conan was there to pick up the slack. My institutional memory is getting hazy, but the last time I remember the boys performing on Conan was the same day he debuted that clip of Triumph The Insult Comic Dog in line for the Star Wars premiere. It was the funniest few minutes of television you ever saw, and you never forgot it. No, you didn't.

i will totally skip work but i also have classes tomorrow, the last ending at 1:45pm. if i haul ass uptown, i can be at rock center just after 2. is that too late to do standby?? gah, i just wish i could somehow get on the stupid list so i wouldnt have to waste time standing outside only to NOT get in
EDIT: ok, i found a post on the Conan official website that might help anyone else thinking of doing standby:
"It's too late to get a reserved ticket for next week, but you can try standby. Note that they normally tape Tuesday - Friday from 5:30-6:30pm in Midtown Manhattan at NBC Studios - 30 Rockefeller Plaza (?30 Rock?) on 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) between 49th and 50th Streets. Their ticket hotlines are 212-664-3056 and 212-664-6030 for more detailed ticket info, and the first number will tell you exactly when they're taping next week.
According to NBC, ?For standby tickets, arrive no later than 9:00am on the morning of the taping under the ?NBC Studios? marquee on the 49th street side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Only one ticket will be issued per person. Please note that a standby ticket does not guarantee admission.
Someone who got standby tickets recently recommended getting there no later than 7am, since alot of people were trying to get the already limited number of standby tickets. They give the tickets out around 9:00, then I think you're told to be back around 3 or 4 pm so plan something to do in between.
Even if you get a standby ticket, you might not get in to the show, depending on how many people who had reserved tickets show up. I've heard Friday is the worst day to do standby since those shows are usually close to or fully packed with people who had reserved tickets, so if you can I'd try Tuesday-Thursday. Good luck"
i'm still not certain if i will do this, but i mean, i can walk down the street in my pjs for all i care tomorrow morning and see if there is a long line for standby then totally blow off work and go to conan! haha
