Shouln't they have been on Saturday Night Live?

Has Lorne Michaels called them yet? He should. SNL should be all over their business.

  • That's such a good point! And we'd get two songs out of it instead of just one. It would be even better if they were included in a skit, but now I think I'm asking for too much.

I agree--especially with the skit idea! If anyone has seen the Truth In Music sketches, you can see they love performances of all kinds, and they are hilarious at it. They could be the hosts AND musical guests, a la JLo and JT. smile.gif
  • lets petition or something
  • I've been thinking about this for a while.

I mean SNL needs Ok Go.

If they appeared in a sketch, i'd faint.
  • It could happen this season. Corinne Bailey Rae is next week's guest, which means they're trying yet again to be hip.
  • "trying" being the key operative word there. i'm sorry, but i'm not sure how good snl is gonna be now that all the good people are gone. i mean, i've known for the past few years it was going down the crapper, but now that's there's no more parnell or tina fey, what's left? they were like the sticky funny glue holding that show together sad.gif

BUT it still would be mega ultra awesome to ok go on it. because i loves me some snl

Agreed on SNL being crappy now. There's no funny left!

I mean, that Adam Sandberg(the kid with the afro) guy and the dude (Seth Meyers, I think his name is) that was on That 70s Show and MadTv are pretty funny...but they never get any facetime, or good sketches to be in.

If OK Go ends up on SNL, I have a feeling it'll be like when Dane Cook was on...overhyped and underhilarious. I mean, them playing on the show will still be cool, but it's gotten to the point where all tv appearances look exactly the same(what with the cutting to crazy camera angles and the zooms) to me. And I'm pretty sure if they helped to create some skits, they'd be hilarious..but overall it wouldn't be as good as the show used to be.

    Man, I'm such a downer. tongue.gif
  • Tina Fey wasn't really at her prime anymore, and Parnell needed to go. Like really needed to.

They still have the amazing new cast members who didn't get a lot of input last year, like Bill Hader, Andy Samberg (tongue.gif), Jason Sudeikis, and Kristen Wiig (who is amaaazing in every sketch.) The digital shorts have completely revitalized people's interest in SNL, so you gotta give it up for Andy & The Lonely Island who even by themselves have given it a new life. I mean, the same guy who directs W.A.S. videos is writing for SNL. Badass? Yes.

P.S. Kim, that wasn't Seth, it's his brother Josh!
