As the band mixed songs from its self-titled 2002 Capitol debut and last year's "Oh No," chatty frontman Damian Kulash flashed devilish grins while taking swipes at his guitar and whipped around the microphone cord while doing spastic son-of-Jagger rooster struts back and forth across the stage.
That's a mouthful. Is that allowed to be one sole sentence?
Singer Damian Kulash Jr. and guitarist Rusty Ross have the skinny, high-cheek-boned look of rock stars while bassist Timothy Norwind and drummer Dan Konopka look like Arnold Stang and Bun E. Carlos.

What? So you're not allowed to be in a band unless you have cheekbones? Whatevs.
Bun E. Carlos is the drummer for Cheap Trick (another Chicago band). He doesn't look like a rock musician, but in my opinion, he out rocks most of the current drummers out there and I have a lot of respect for the guy. Coincidentally, Cheap Trick and OK Go are playing together in Philly. He also did a very cool TV commercial with Torry of The Donnas (another band OK Go toured with) a few years ago for Target.
Guess which one he is in this old Cheap Trick picture.
As for Arnold Stang, I actually had to Google his name. He was an actor and the voice of Top Cat.
And what was that Variey writer thinking using such archaic references in his review? I don't think too many people who attended the show would understand them.
okay, well, I guess there's a bit of resemblance between those people and Tim and Dan, but not enough to mention in a story, especially not when people might not get the reference. Oh well.

Ha, a mouthfull, but awesome! I think if I had never heard of them and read this sentence it alone would get me interested in them.
