group treatment

edited November -1 in OK Go
after the topic "Damian's pubes"...

After we hiperventilated for over 5secs when most of us saw the topic title, I mentioned that I really need treatment when it comes to Damian (and rusty btw)

Maybe we should just put here all of our frustrations...

I'm STILL red after accidentally posting that subject. I'm going to hold the nickname "Pube Girl" for as long as I am on this board. But at least everyone knows who I am now. smile.gif

I most certainly need treatment. My actions speak for themselves. And my treatment is to TREAT myself to OK Go this weekend in Chicago. *jumps around like a lunatic*
  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Pube Girl . . . .

    I won't call you that.

    hehe . . . mellow.gif

As I said in the other topic, I'm in line for treatment as well! biggrin.gif

That topic gave us great amounts of excitment!! Please do more topics like that!

I think that the members of the club "Damian KUlash told me to shut the fuck up" should also post on this topic and share their experiences...

I just wish I could go to a concert even if Damian tells me to shut the fuck up...

ME TOO!!!! Booo - hoooo- hoooo
  • me three

in some ways, I think its more frustrating in my current situation than if I simply lived somewhere they didn't come (for me, at least)- Each time Ok Go announces Boston dates, I get my hopes up, only to have them squashed each time by stupid age restrictions. It's happened four times since I became an uber-fan.

I'm petrified that I'm never going to see them while they still play smaller venues, and come out after the show, etc.

but I also feel for all of you who haven't even had the hopes of seeing them yet.
  • Everytime OK Go came to Michigan before all of this fame, all the venues were 18+, so I could never go.

So now, when I am 18, I have this.

    sad.gif

    Oh well. I guess.

Jaded, are you going to the Cobo Arena show in December? It's such a huge venue (+12,000 seats) and tickets are now starting to sell in the 3rd tier. Way different from when I saw them in Ann Arbor in October, from about 5 feet away!

Sorry to disagree, but I would be mad if he said that to me. Was he just kidding around?

Katy and Karleigh (or Kay I can't really remember and I'm too lazy to look for the post, sorry) were once in an ok go concert and I think that they (the fans, not ok go) were shouting and Damian goes something like "shut the fuck up!!!!", because I think he was trying to speak or maybe sing (who knows?).

Damian is just a genious/cute asshole, sometimes he has somethings like that, I don't think he was kidding. In some interviews you can see that (I've only noticed when some fans told me because I was too obcessed to find anything wrong wink.gif )
  • Well, I guess if people were interrupting him, they deserved it.

No, I'm not going. I don't like big venue shows. Even if one of my favorite bands are playing, i just won't go.

    I'm weird like that.

    PLUS, I don't like the other bands playing . . .

I should have had my experience on YouTube, but alas, the video is too large to post, and I don't feel like messing with it now. He didn't exactly say "Shut the fuck up." He was like "-and it's...it's" and we (the about 12 people in front, including Kikky) we finishing his sentence by yelling "hot" everytime he said "it's." It ended up something like
    D: it's
    Us: hot...hot...it's hot
    D: it's
    Us: HOT!...REALLY HOT!

It was indeed hot, and we had been outside all day waiting in order to wait outside again and listen to music. He got all pissed and was like, "Yes, it's hot, but I'm not being that obvious right now, ladies. And now I'm not going to say anything, we're just going to play." He was PISSED. He didn't even finish what he was saying. He waved his finger at us and everything, so in so many words he was saying, "shut the fuck up."

I also remember the first time I saw them, I was in the back, and I yelled, "I love you, Damian!" in between songs, and he yelled back, "I love you too, baby," and went on with what he was saying like it was nothing. **sigh** Memories.

    wow what a story!!
if Damian said that to me you would hear a big "plooof" (i'm fat) and I would be lying on ground for at least 5min...
Isn't he the cuttest thing on earth? (i'm so stupid)

I didn't know about the whole story yet, just the fact that Damian once told to people of the forum to shut the fuck up during a gig.

    Funny story!!! biggrin.gif
  • We weren't interrupting him (I wasn't, at least..Katy and I were at different shows on different continents but I'm pretty sure she was just asking him to do the Les Mis scene), it was cheering. But yeah, he had already said "I love you right back, honey" earlier in the night, so I wasn't too upset.
  • Do we have a minimum age for group treatment of OK Go addiction? A funny thing happened this morning. I was watching my daughter's friend before school and we started playing the new DVD. This 9-year-old girl had never even seen OK Go before, but took one look at Damian in "Invincible" and said: "He's a hottie - with a side order of sizzle!" After I stopped laughing, I had to admit that the child has good taste. laugh.gif

Oh wow. Now that was funny biggrin.gif And only 9 years old. Sheesh. That girl knows what she likes. Hahaha. And who says, "with a side order of sizzle!" !!??!? Seriously. I would've peed my pants.

I guess I'd have to say that my shining moment of A-Ross Addiction occurred at the Thursday (November 9th) show at Logan Square. When the guys were on the doofy-uber-mini-circle-stage-dealie, I was literally like WHAM right next to/ nearly on top of them (I'm tall...). So Andy and Tim are on there sort of getting themselves set, waiting for Damian - and no one in the crowd is saying anything (Thursday audience = somnambulant). So I take it upon myself to quite casually say, "Andy, you stud." He proceeded to turn to me with a smile, and with the glockenspiel-playing-stick-type-apparatus, point at me and then tap his head. Yeah. I'm pretty sure that caused me to blackout because my friend had to retell the happening to me. That's ranked up there on my most satisfying life moments ever list. It may have been better than actually meeting/ briefly talking to/ getting to touch for picture and then having said picture with him. Oh, for creeping out my favorite people. Euphoric, I tells ya.

Didn't he apologize to her or something approximating that ("I was just being an asshole," or something like that) when she talked to him after the show? I can't remember exactly what she said. She did say that she had been really yelling and that after her initial ticked-offness she felt better later, after she talked to him and after she thought about it. He said, "Shut the fuck up! We're not doing that just because we're in France!" or something close. It sounded pretty funny to me, but I wasn't there and don't know the tone he used ...

He told me to shut up at the Friday show in the middle of that thing with the notes, but he wasn't mean about it--he didn't have a harsh tone of voice, just teasing. And he didn't say "Shut the fuck up"--just "Shut up, I'm talking!" and waved his finger at me, but he was kinda smiling and I pointed my finger right back at him while he was pointing at me, and it was soo funny. (It was when he was picking on me about supposedly trying to tell Dan to "Beat those fuckers on 'No Sign'" after the song had already been played--I had been yelling, "He saw it before!" about Dan having seen the note already.) After the show, when I went up to him, it was totally feel-good--he said, "I wasn't too mean, was I?" And I was like, "No, not at all," and he was like, "I thought you could take it." Besides, he ended the "abuse" by dedicating "You're So Damn Hot" to me. It was absolutely fantastic!! laugh.gif If that's abuse, do it some more ...

Anyway, I wonder if I'm in the club for that ... ?
