Are You Geeky?

Today my classmates and I got into a slightly heated debate about what constitutes a nerd vs. a geek. I always grew up thinking of geeks as the more cuddly ones, while nerds are more anti-social and sometimes malicious. But with the way Damian talks about nerds, he appears to look at it from the opposite view. Many of my classmates agree with Damian. They think Geeks are the computer/Star Trek loving weirdos, while Nerds are more cuddly.

So, fellow boardies, what makes someone a geek vs. a nerd? Which one is more cuddly, which one is more icky?
Feel free to post here any crazy silly pictures you find about geeks/dweebs/nerds.

(P.S. This may be a pointless thread, but I felt like spreading some silliness. Also, Tempe is a geek/nerd/dweeb magnet. Those types of guys flock to her. So she needs to know which one she'd be better off with.)

it's slightly creepy, as if the monkey's a bond villian plotting global domination. Watch out when you buy those tapes w/ soothing nature sounds. Deranged monkeys may or maynot have made the cut.

I call myself a geek.

as in, I'm a band geek and a sci-fi/fantasy geek and just a general geek.


I always thought nerds were worse than geeks.

dweebs were worse than nerds.

and dorks were something totally different.


I dunno, though. I still like the term "geek" the best.

Geeks and nerds can be cute and cuddly, i think that one is interchangeable. i'm a cuddly geek I think. I' not antisocial at all but I like nerdy things like art history and german cinema. i think geeks can sometimes be cool too, like there is a whole class of artsy geeks that are on their own plane of existence at my school and i can totally see them living in brooklyn in five years, in graduate school at nyu, being awesome.

but losers, well losers are the antisocial, sometimes super smart, sometimes stupid people that no one likes.
