I found out that the show in March that I was planning to attend is sold out! *cry cry* The venue was at 'Cain's Ballroom' in Tulsa, OK. I was wondering by any stretch of chance if someone had bought tickets to this show already in advance AND was willing to share? *puhwease* But, do not feel any need to pity the poor deprived of OK Go Liveness girl...
If not that, I'm also searching for advice on what to DO. The one in Tulsa is really the only one my parents are willing to drive to. That or the Dallas show the next day. I really would like to attend the one at Cain's instead of the one in Dallas because the one in Dallas will be held at a 'theatre'. I'm quite biased against theatres because of the loss of intimacy between fans at those types of venues, ya know? From a more experienced 'Go'er, should I have reason to feel this way? Do the venues at theatres lack in any way to one at a bar like Cain's? If you could provide me with this information I would be most enthused.
Lastly, I would like to know if anyone has any further information on the 'security' at an OK Go show. I have a tie and my friend suggested going backstage and 'waiting' for OK Go to show up in their bus. When they arrive she said to wave the tie in their faces and ask for special permission to get in... Would this work? I heard the security find it amusing if you try to sneak in... Is this so? My friend finds this belittling of our status as fans, because they probably think of us as 'play-things' as she puts it, but I am at a level of desperate measures that I'm willing to belittle myself for them.
SOOO. Help?
Comments
No. The one on the 8th (I think) in Tulsa. Did I say 11th? Darn it. OR the one on the 9th, the next day.
Ack. How I wish they DID! I already checked eBay and so FAR there are no tickets for this venue. =( But, thank you for giving some advice.
Ahaha. No, I don't think the one in Houston is sold out. I know that even the one at Stubb's in Austin hasn't even begun selling tickets... So I don't know.

The one in Austin at Stubb's is already sold out, sorry to inform. Try Craigslist...maybe someone is selling tickets there? Or keep trying Ebay...it will be worth it even if you pay an arm and a leg.
It would seem that you are very lucky. I don't even know when the tickets went up for grabs. But, despite my bitterness to the ticket salesman and the cold, harsh, and cruel (that was redundant) world, I hope you and everyone else at the show have an awesome time! =) Make sure you come on here and post your glorious day in the presence of OK Go.

ALREADY??!! Good Gad. I can't believe it. I figured that the reason 'FrontGate tickets' wasn't selling the tickets online yet was because they just weren't. There was a bit of me that believed it was already sold out, and this proves to be undeniably true. Thank you for telling me. I would've spent spent every day and night in turmoil wondering why I couldn't buy tickets.
Yeah, I figured I could keep trying eBay until by some stretch of a miracle I see tickets up for sale. Somehow, I believe this won't be happening... I'm kind of sad that I probably won't be seeing OK Go in this tour. It seems to me this is the last tour that will feature small intimate groups of fans and a real good show. I know OK Go will never cease to be awesome. But I'm sure they'll be in huge stadiums real soon. I have no desire to see that before I see a smaller show. Ah well, I'll just have to get over it. =(
Thanks everyone for the information. It really was helpful (Urduh.) =)
I've said this already.
but I've been feeling sorry for myself, lately.
as there's almost no hope of my going, unless I can get someone willing to spend a bunch extra to get tix from another site.
I dunno about in other places, cause our (aka Massachusetts') scalping laws are virtually non-existent, but you might be able to find ticket sites selling stuff at expensive prices, last time I looked at the boston tix there were prolly six or seven different sites, and the cheapest was $45.00, which is fifteen above retail price. most expensive were over a hundred.
however, this may not be the case for wherever you're looking to get tix.... good luck!

Good GAD. Over $100? That's intense. I don't know if I want to partake in the financial investments for attending venues... What sites do you suggest? I'm embarassed to say that I've never actually thought this far through with attending a concert, usually things are smooth-sailing. >.<
I think I'd just be better off saving my money and forming a roadtrip to go see them. It seems that all my alternatives are just burned. Tulsa and then Austin... Both sold out. I suppose there's still the Dallas one. But like I said, I'm biased against theatres. Though I don't know if I have any apparent reason to be that prejudiced.
I'll try the sites though. No physical harm in trying. (Though coming up with empty hands site after site might be emotionally tedious.)

HAPPY JESUS!
Thank you SO much. I assume you took the time to find that for me. I WILL FOR EVER BE IN YOUR DEBT. (It doesn't apply to sexual favors... sorry.)
I will meet with my collaborators on this trip (hurriedly, ofcourse...) and see if I have money to spend on these tickets. THANK YOU AGAIN! =)
