So there's a bill in the Virginia legislature right now called the Truth in Music Advertising Act. I swear to God this is true. I saw this in the paper yesterday and busted out laughing. I couldn't stop. All my co-workers thought I was nuts. Here's the first sentence of the story:
RICHMOND - Del. David Albo, R-Fairfax, a self-professed "1970s metal-head," guided a bill he calls "the Truth in Music Advertising Act" through the House Commerce and Labor committee on Thursday.
One of the blogs in the Washington Post linked to an article about this bill. Here's the full story:
http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?...36&tref=rssIt's actually a bill to prohibit promoters from advertising rock bands that aren't the real thing, like cheesy reunion tours of classic rock bands that don't have any of the original members on the tour. But the title of the bill...oh my God. LMAO.
