  • HAHA. I'd like to point out that WAS posted two HILARIOUS bulletins about the NME show on MySpace, and I'd like to share them with you, because they are hilarious.

    People -

In order to help us remember how to perform both our songs and our scripted between-song banter in time for our NME Awards show at the Astoria on February 27 (which, contrary to claims on the NME's own ill-maintained site, is sold out, sold way out, like, sold out the day they went on sale, so what kind of fantasy world is the NME's webmaster living in, keeping a live link to the ticket provider's site, where excited would-be-concertgoers will have their hopes dashed when they realize that, sorry, sucker, it's sold out, you should have bought your tickets like three seconds after they went on sale?), we're playing a few warm-up and cool-down shows in the UK around that date. They are:

*blah blah info here you can go to their myspace and see it yourself*

Word on the street is that the tickets go on sale on Monday afternoon. Enjoy!

    And:

    Guys,

Apparently, when we gave you all of that sweet information about our three upcoming UK shows, we lied about the Bournemouth venue's box office phone number. We were drunk with anticipation (and with this nice bottle of tequila we just bought (and some nice paint thinner we found)) and apparently listed an incorrect phone number. The phone number we gave you belongs to the proprietor of some printing press somewhere, who spent all day yesterday fielding phone calls from 400,000 desperate WAS fans, and who, no doubt, is tired of explaining that, no, he isn't the Bournemouth box office, and, no, he doesn't want two sell the two tickets that he personally bought to the awesome WAS rock show. So, anyway, leave that poor fool alone and, instead, use this information:

    *info blah blah*

We believe that everything else we said is true (therefore, even if it does turn out to be false, we can't be accused of lying).

    love,
    We Are Scientists

This has nothing to do with OK Go. Though I think if WAS and OK Go got together for a tour, I'd pretty much die from happiness.

    EDIT:
PS: the only awards ceremony at which the winners are chosen by genuine music fans: the readers of NME.?? What? Doesn't NME kinda' suck now??

EDIT EDIT: Fuck, I suck at bold tags.

hahaha thank god I was alone when I read that.

Go Ok Go! I haven't seen the other videos but there is no way anyone topped the treadmills.
  • I really don't think Bones would have been nominated if Tim Burton hadn't directed it. And PATD? OK Go better win.
  • The competition doesn't stand a chance.

The Bones video was so lame. People turning into skeletons. And it's P!ATD. haha. I like both of these bands (sort of, kind of) but not as much as OK Go. And OK Go's video did not cost half as much as the others either.
  • Posted for closure.

    The Killers won. (sigh)

  • Yea! George W. Bush won!
  • Why is it that only England can see how much P!ATD sucks?
  • Because England is just better than anywhere else.
  • i like panic

    and im from england

    PARADOX!
  • I like "Panic" by the Smiths

    and I'm not from England.

    IRRELEVANT!
