makeup tips

edited November -1 in General Discussion
I'd really love to get the smokey eye effect, but have NO idea how to start.

Anybody have any tips? Or maybe even good makeup products that make it easier to do this stuff, by all means share!

Thanks!

  • Sally Hansen sells eyeliner really cheap with a smudger that you just run along your lower lash line and rub the colour around a little bit. For a more dramatic effect, apply liquid black liner kind of messily on top and bottom lash lines and then shut your eyes really tightly for a few seconds. If you have a good dark eyeshadow and you really like the colour, dabbing a tiny bit of Vaseline on your finger or a Q-tip and rubbing it in also gives you a kind of "I slept in my makeup 'cause I'm a rockstar" thing.

Some good ones to look for:

    Cheap:
Revlon Star Style Eye Mousse in Brown Suede
Rimmel Metallic Eye Gloss in Equinox

    Fancy:
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner in True Black
  • Ooh thanks for the tips!

Hi Melissa, it's very nice to read your post even though I can't give you helpful info.
I've been living as a woman for a century, but I've never put on makeup.

AHHH, such a blast from the past. Setsumi HOW ARE YYYOOOUUU?!?!??!?!?! So good to "see" you again, hehe. <3

Never put on makeup? Oh my, wouldn't believe it, hehe. Eyeliner is always a must, in my book, the rest is optional. tongue.gif

For anyone interested, Mehron has a little contest going. http://www.myspace.com/mehronextrememakeup to read more details about that stuff! If I could I would go crazy extreme! Ha!
