Hell yeah. But I still love the two I've got. I've been listening to them almost exclusively since August, and I'm nowhere near being sick of them yet.

and its gonna be abit diffrent from the old stuff im sure the others on here have the links to interveiws where dami talks of it
I'd like that link(s) again if anyone would be so kind. I was trying to relay to someone how they said the next CD will be different, and I wasn't able to explain what I'd read, from memory.

It begins in the Broadjam interview -- the music Damian says he's really into right now but they aren't going to do. Something about 70's soul. In later interviews, both he and Tim make oblique inferences which make me think that's the direction they are heading.
That said, one can begin thinking they are going to create going in one direction and then go in another. Part of why I'm awake at 2am right now is because I wrote something for a client and it turns out there is a MUCH better way for it to go so I've basically started anew. (I work in spurts so every 15-20 minutes I go doodle on the Internet somewhere - like here - then get back to the writing - tmi? - sorry.)
And yes, I'm impatient for fresh OK Go, but I'd rather wait for what they are happy with, over some hastily compiled retread of music they rejected once (although a capture of Damian singing his alcohol-fueled ditties to his voicemail might be the exception ... ;D).
I confess I've created my own playlist using Audacity and recording off youtube a compilation of "live & acoustic" which tides me over. I'm still fiddling with a thing I call "A Million Million Ways" which is a fugue-y sort of compilation of about 30 different live performances of their acoustic AMW. I'm not actually sure it is going to work but I'm having fun trying (& it is assuaging my OK Go fiending). This is just for my personal use but if J0rge reads this and wants me to stop, I will (or send $$$ somewhere?)

whoa.
the a million million ways thing sounds preety cool. Good luck with the compilation!
and i agree with you on the whole waiting till its perfect thing... i hate when bands rush the next CD right after they have gotten successfull. In the end it just leads to a crappy album.

Dyu reckon if I give him my number he could possibly call me with the ideas next time he's wasted?? Just a thought....
Yeah I'm looking forward to the next CD. Plus when they're recording, they're not touring, which means they can recover from the two-and-something-stupid years and get some decent sleep! I worry about those boys...
yay!! im a bit excited about hearing new stuff, but im still really into their current stuff. but it will be cool 2 hear new material. im curious to what they have planned, sound and style wise.
I've been thinking about this a lot, and I really want to see how Rusty fits in with the songwriting/recording.
He's definitely talented and capable of writing great songs, as shown by SDR, but I wonder how much say he'll get, and how much his ideas will influence the overall sound.
I mean, his SDR stuff isn't that different from anything Ok Go has done, but it still could be interesting. IF he gets to write any part of the new songs at all, which I really hope he does.
I dunno, its been stewing around in my brain for a while.
I'm really excited for a new album, but mostly I'm excited that the guys are finally gonna have a break from touring. They've been going non-stop for a loooong time now, and they definitely deserve a break. I hope they can take as long as they want to make this album, and I really hope they get to spend some time at home before they start this insane schedule again.

I've been wondering the exact same things--how he'll shape it, and how much input he'll have.
I read something somewhere recently where Tim really complimented Andy a lot musically and said he can't wait to make new stuff with him because he's a such a good songwriter, so I guess we'll see. (If I got that wrong or exaggerated what Tim said at all, sorry--I can't remember where I read it, so I can't check it )
