Any chance that this could end up on okcentral.com?
Yes! *pumps fist a la Damian*
This is wonderful, and my newest phrase, thank you

But there are three more showings in the wee hours of the morning ... hopefully they're repeats of tonight's show and not weird early showings of tomorrow night's show.
*fingers crossed* In the meantime, sorry :/
They got a lot of face time--the last fifteen minutes or so. There's a Damian interview, and you guys are going to cringe at the continual questions about the dance videos (as Damian seems to, although he's polite), but the interviewer seems so genuinely interested and amiable that it's hard to be too mad. And the last question comes absolutely out of nowhere and struck me hilarious--seems to have thrown Damian for a WTF? loop. They also show a clip from Chic-a-Go-Go in the interview and Damian's just like, "Oh my God." Ha
There are two complete song performances--D, A, & T doing HIGA and DWYW acoustic. They sound really good, though Damian seems to have a vaguely ticked-off aura, which is what I also thought during the Monday night show, but I could be reading into things and it's neither here nor there, so I'll stop babbling ... Poor Tim's just there going, "Ah-ah," looking bored. Also, they titled the songs on-screen, and the labels were rather weird: "'Here It Goes Again' by Damian Kulash," which made me go, "Huh?!" at first, but next they had "'Do What You Want' by Tim Nordwind and Damian Kulash," so I guess they were going by composer Although that's weird, at least that's better than some goof-up where both songs said "Damian Kulash" instead of "OK Go" ...
That's everything noteworthy I can think of. I'll have it up on OK Go Central hopefully by the end of Friday, but if not, sometime this weekend. Also, they might have clips on the WTTW website.

In other news, I just had a dream that I was making jokes about the word "erections" and Andy was laughing. Not terribly far from reality.
that was the first time i have seen DWYW performed acoustic. i like..
tim looks..bored. and andy looks really into it. love it.
I know--you can just feel the tension growing from Damian as each question comes, and then when that fish stick question comes, he just looks like he wants to punch the guy in the face.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here -- I think the interviewer did an awesome job of keeping things fresh while connecting with a WIDE audience. Even though it is a retread for fans, it is a great interview for introducing the band to someone who doesn't know who OK Go is OR someone who has seen the video but really hasn't taken their interest much further.
As for the fishsticks question, I loved it. It is the kind of out-in-left-field thing I say to my clients sometimes when I think they don't see their potential. The question wasn't trying to keep OK Go in a (treadmill) box but also DID liberate them from the "just an indie rock band" mea culpa. Historically, there is a CORPORATE tendency to want to keep artists staying in the box their audience is most familiar with. For example, once upon a time, Neil Young was sued by his manager for releasing an album that was "unrepresentable," meaning an album that "didn't sound like Neil Young."
I think the interviewer was very insightful in seeing that, perhaps, OK Go is more than the band members realize. OK Go's intentions may be to be "just an indie rock band," (and not locked into treadmills and dancing) but the creative mind and spirit, by its very nature, rebels against containment. I'm reminded how people ragged on David Bowie for his foray into acting -- and then realized, "Damn! He's Good!"
(p.s. Damn! I'm old! ha ha ha!)
AHHH! I'm not the only one that this has occurred to!!
To which that has occurred? Aw hell.
Would like to see you expand on that topic.
Edit: P.S. Thanks a ton, Sheri!
I enjoyed this interview more because of the fishstick question. It sorta caught Damian off guard. It's like he never prepares for interviews because he knows they're always asking the same questions, and he's like a robot at this point-a hot looking one. But for this interview, he had to think for a real answer! It was funny.
