This was fascinating. I had no idea how financially important concerts are to Ok Go- more so than cd sales. That shocked me. That makes me glad I just went to a show. I also found it cool that Damian would go into furniture sales, hehe.
Damian: This is our first date in Canada with the Snow Patrol Tour, we’ve played Canada a lot ourseves. We’ve always found Canadian crowds to be really great, actually. They seem less cookie-cutter-ish than their american counterparts. I sort of think of Canadian crowds as being somewhere between European crowds and American crowds in terms of how they respond to music. The Canadian crowds seem a little bit more like they’ve got a thoughtful connection to the music or that they’re listening to the music, as opposed to sort of showing up in a herd, you know. A lot of American crowds are kind of just like these mass hoards of teenagers who show up when they’re told. They have a great time at the shows, you just can’t ever tell if they’re actually listening to the music… Tim: If the connection is made or not. Damian: And it feels like a lot of the Canadian shows we’ve played, there were people who were engaging with the music a little bit more.

Especially Tim and Damian's little conversation at the end.
Tim would make a brilliant spaceman.
