Electra- I've been contemplating on where to put all my OK Go memorabilia and I love your idea! Can I steal it? I was thinking of making a scrap book, but that idea was pretty cheesy (plus how do you paste on an awesome dancing flipbook into a scrapbook? you just can't)
Course you can!! I'm still struggling to find the right paisley tho... I found the perfect stuff, but it was basically the wallpaper of a London art gallery, and my mom dragged me away before I could rip it off the wall . I don't see why. I was the only one appreciating it, it wouldn't have harmed anyone else....
Hello Mariadelia, welcome! All the way from Argentina?! Glad to know the OK Go love is spreading worldwide!
Thank you!! I know OK Go since a month! YES, I'm telling you the truth!! Do you want to know how I knew them? I knew Ok Go through Big Brother Argentina, hehehe. People there have a weekly test and one week the test was to do "Here it goes again" video!! It was very funny looking at the 4 boys and 4 girls praticing with the machines! And they won, they did it very well!! If you want you can watch a video of the test here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8MFLfIKusI I liked this video very much!! I had watched it for the first time and as soon as I could, I browsed it in You Tube and from then on I became an Argentinian OK Go fan, hehe. It was a lillte strange but it was the only posibility I had to know OK Go... Here in Argentina they aren't famous at all, it's a pitty... But I love them and that's all!! Hehe.
(Sorry for my writting, but I'm not so good at English)

I had a feeling you knew about OK Go because of "Gran Hermano"! I posted the link to those videos in another thread. They are pretty amazing. It is a shame that they aren't well known in Argentina. I'm sure there are more people that know them because of Gran Hermano, try looking around. And your English is great!

Oh! I didn't realise that you had linked the videos in another thread!! I have not seen that part of the forum yet, hehe. The videos are really funny!! Yes, I think that more people know them here in Argentina but at the moment , I only found some comments in Internet about them (always related with "Gran Hermano") and nothing more. In Argentinian radios, their music are not listened. By the moment, if you live in Argentina and you like OK Go, you only can listen or see them beetwen CD's, mp3 or Internet. But I'm glad to know them because "Gran Hermano". For me, it was the only way to know them, so I'm glad. Thanks for your comments! English is not my mother tongue, it's Spanish.
I attended this show with dietpepsi. Again, I'm so grateful to go to these shows with people who get it. I drove 5 hours each way, which, when I think about it, is kind of ridiculous, but I'm still glad I went.

Last night was the best OK Go show I've ever seen!
I'm really glad this was a good show for you!

Damian seemed to be in a happy mood, which is always good. I think they can see the light at the end of the touring tunnel.
I sensed that, too. Especially since they get most of May off.

He forgot a verse to YSDH, and laughed about it. He also told a story about a guy calling them "Sissies!" during the acoustic part of some show. And another story about playing Get Over It to a bar with 15 people in it. Tim talked to the audience for a short time while Damian was working on getting a good guitar. "Any Tiger fans out there? I can't even pretend to talk sports to you guys." Lots of banter! Yea!
Yeah, that was funny.
Here's the rest of the "sissy" story, as I remember it: During the acoustic part, Damian said how at a recent show he'd said this is the sissy part of the set, and some guy yelled back, "Sissy!" He commented on the disappointing predictableness of someone yelling back at you what you just said from the stage, then started playing "What To Do." Still thinking of that story, Damian sang "asshole" instead of "apple" in the second line. He stopped the song, smiled, laughed at himself, explained, and started over. The second time, he emphasized "AP-PLE."

One sad, wonderful surprise: they played "Return" during the encore and it was so beautiful. Damian told the crowd this was written for his friend who died 10 years ago this week.
That cut to my heart, too. How could it not?

...it just got me thinking about all the joy and pain happening at the same time in the world.
*feels humbled*
I didn't take many pictures either. This is the only good one I have (shows how far back we were).
As in Urbana, I did my best to talk some new fans into finding out more about OK Go and buying more merch. Spreading the gospel of OK Go. Sharing the joy. It's what I do.

Come on in, sweetie pie, Have an asshole, have some lye...
Another blast from the past ... So glad to hear this show was so good! Loved your write-up, Theresa--yay! first full-on show!--and loved the asshole story, Suzanne!
*Edit: And they did the Damned! Seriously cool. I figured they'd retired it last winter.
Haha, when Damian started talking about letting the audience choose a cover at the Sennheiser show, I obnoxiously yelled out "The Damned!!" before he'd even offered any choices ... he smoothly and completely ignored me. At least he didn't tell me to shut the fuck up. Though that would have put me into a distinguished club, haha. He told me to shut up in Chicago (shaking a finger and all), but not STFU.
