Anyone going to the UMass show? I wasn't going to go see Ok Go so soon again after the WPI show since it will likely be the same set, but they are playing with Ben Folds and until recently, Gym Class Heros.
Gah, why can't they come to ASU (Arizona State University)? Come on! It's a beautiful campus. Nice students. Good restaurants and shopping nearby.....and I'm not just saying all this just because ASU happens to be in the city of Tempe.
Umass is Andy's sister's alma mater I asked her which Umass she went to cuz Rusty mentioned in his blog that she went to Umass and I was hoping she knew my sister, who also goes to Umass. But, she said she already graduated so she doesn't know my sister, lol. Sorry, I'm repeating the same story I already told. But anyways, Rusty's sister is very pretty and so sweet and kind. It's so cool how they played at WPI, which is associated with Rusty's high school, Mass Academy, and now they're playing at Umass, where his sister went.
I would love to go to this concert, and wouldn't even mind the travel time, but I have a final exam on the 7th

aww Sally, I'm sorry you can't go.
It's awsome that you got to see his sister though!
safe to say when i discovered this show existed i was supremely bummed in knowing i couldn't go... i just saw ben folds a couple weeks ago, and then ok go this week for the first time.

thanks, you're so sweet! I didn't meet her at WPI though. WPI was my second show. I met her at the first show I ever saw, which was in Feb. But speaking of this stuff, I wish Andy would write in his blog again. I know he's really busy, but it was just so funny to read.

ooh, you're from Michigan! Same state as Tim! hehe, awesome!
if only Umass Amherst wasn't two hours away, and it wasn't a school night.
that being said, everyone should come and visit Massachusetts! it's super pretty and awesome and i've lived here my whole life and I love it. Even if we have some really awful drivers. and believe me, they are awful. I probably drive badly without noticing it just because everyone else here drives worse. oh, and the boston accent can get really annoying, even though I probably have it myself. but other than that, its super here.

Exactly what I was going to say, lol. I have school tomorrow and the last time I went to an ok go concert i ended up coming back home at about 1 am. This time the concert is double the distanceplus the tickets are $40 instead of 20.. but that would still be worth it because it's ok go and ben folds. self explanitory.
and yeah, people should come here OK Go came here about 4 times in 4 months.. I can't complain x)
Whoever is coming to this show - have fun and take lots of pictures lol
did anyone go to this? I would love to hear how it went. I reeeally wish I could've gone, but finals forced me to stay home. I'm guessing this was their last headlining show in Mass till the next album.
It's interesting that the crowd wasn't full though, at least until the rapper. And they weren't full at the CT show, so this is 2 nights in a row. I feel bad.
Thanks for posting the review, 7*s! I gotta say, though, that was probably one of the most poorly written articles I've ever read. All sorts of missing words, pointless observations - so nice to know that UMASS writers are so talented.
Staged wave and obviously planned acoustic set? What did this writer expect, for OK Go to pull out something spontaneous out of thier asses? Seriously, he seemed more into Mr. Belding and he obviously seemed to like the "Save By the Bell" song as well. But this concert seemed kinda weird to me. A Battle of the bands winner, a pianist, Mr. Belding, OK Go, Talib Kweli (sp?) and Ben Folds?? Weird. Maybe it's just college venues that are weird....
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME THEY PLAYED AT UMASS???
(Was it at the Mullins Center?)
In any case, !!!
(Okay, I'll survive. I've seen them three times this school year as it is. And three times before that in NoHo, and Pearl St. is way smaller than the Mullins Center. At least they're not playing Smith's spring concert...then I'd be pissed....)
Edit: Yeah, I totally forgot that 6 May was two days ago...
