What you can do for us is tell your friends about us there in the UK, especially your guy friends. We're just a tiny company and can use ALL the help we can get.
GOOD NEWS ON SHIPPING to UK and EUROPE:
We'll be adding a new, cheaper shipping method today for single items. The reason is that we've discovered one nice lady at the post office who will allow us to send the ties as "letters" or "small packages" based on the way we wrap them, and on us standing in line to hand it to her!
Shipping to UK and the continent begins at $5.40 USD and goes up to $12.50 USD. To arrive at a flat price for for shipping (a necessity of our system), we have split the difference between the high and low prices ($8.95 USD) and added $2 USD because we simply HAVE to pay someone to drive to and stand in line at the post office. Yesterday it was 1 hour and 15 minutes, and will probably remain that way through Christmas. The USPS only makes it convenient to use their expensive shipping methods.
So, since each item must be shipped separately to be treated as a "letter/small package" there is no price break with larger numbers of items. For that we'd suggest using our Global Priority shipping method, listed above.
The breakdown, therefore, for our cheaper international shipping method is as follows:
1 item - $10.95
2 items - $19.90 ($2 charge only applies for first item)
3 items - $28.85 (...etc)
I am told that this method (International First Class) takes 5-10 business days, whereas Global Priority takes 6-10 business days. Go figure. Who knows what can be expected beyond these ranges for both shipping methods. However, I have noticed that shipping times are generally faster during the holidays. Obviously due to the volume.
We should note that even though two items is $19.90, this could be more cost-effective for some buyers, depending on where they live on the continent. In these cases, you should check both methods to see which is least expensive for you given your country/postal code.
ON HELPING:
For those of you who would be willing to help us spread the word there (good excuse to talk to cute boys?), our recently updated SHOP PAGE gives a visual overview of the merchandise we have in stock.
We'll be adding new merchandise regularly through the holiday, and prices are low given the exchange rate.
And as for our FITTED TROUSERS, while they are new and original clothing, they, like our other merchandise, are also limited-edition. We will make ONLY 200 PAIRS for this holiday season.

We believe in personalized clothing for individuals, starting with fit. And we look at each item we sell as a marriage between that item and one particular individual. No size fits all, in our opinion--and our mission is to assist good people in dressing to complement their good character.

So we've come up with a street marketing campaign for FITTED TROUSERS and we're looking for people in UK, Europe, Japan, and the US Cities of NYC, LA, SF, Portland, Austin and Chicago.
Admittedly, guys will probably be more interested in doing this than ladies, since the pants are for guys. But any ladies who want to help can apply their free pants as gifts to their guy friends. Or, exchange them for one or several items from our online shop.
I'll describe the campaign below. Please forward on to others if you think they might be interested.

Street Marketing, FITTED TROUSERS:
We want to make you your own A FINE TOOTH calling cards--basically business cards, but what they are, are actually coupon cards/certificates for $20 USD off a pair of fitted trousers.
We want you to go to the "right places," whatever you think those are, and use your judgment to give the cards out to guys you think are in the market for the pants, to be a bit of a spokesperson if they have questions on the spot, and to ultimately direct them to the website.
If they use the coupon code on the card you give them to buy the pants, it identifies you as the person who gave them the coupon. And for every five pairs we sell with your code associated, you get a free pair of fitted trousers.
If you have thoughts on how to improve upon the idea itself, we'd love to hear them.
In the meantime, if you're down for it, we'll forward you a file you can print on card stock or regular paper---OR ELSE we can send you cards in the mail. (In this case, please include your address.)

The card idea sounds really good! Sign me up for San Francisco! Technically I'm not in San Francisco anymore, but I go back pretty often. I already know my first target. I think he would love a pair of dandy pants. Should I just send an email answering the questions in the Myspace bulletin? And why can't girls wear dandy pants (I'm gonna get a speech about how guys and girls are different, aren't I?)? I know plenty of boys that wear girl pants.
BTW, I hope we can offer Dandy pants for girls sometime soon. However, here's your lecture

ALSO, I have an update about the Ties & Button, which I'll write about in a separate post.
So after much deliberation, we have decided that we need to put the OK Go Ties & Buttons back up on Ebay this year. I KNOW this flies in the face of the exact reasoning I gave for this year's batch being offered at flat rates through our store.
However, the people who share the business with me, and I, feel we need the exposure that Ebay offers, both in order to sell the items before the end of the year, and to use that exposure to further highlight our FITTED TROUSERS, which, being our first new product, is our big push for this season.
I do apologize for the change-up, and I wanted to let you all know--and anyone else who may be thinking of ordering a tie soon--that I will wait a few days before posting to Ebay, so that people still thinking about ordering the merchandise can make their decision without facing the extra competition on Ebay.

OK, I just wanted to leave a last message here before we begin posting the items on Ebay. Offcially we are saying they'll be available on our store until 5pm today, FRIDAY Dec 7, but between you all and me, they will probably be there through the rest of today and sometime into Saturday until someone gets a chance to move them to Ebay.

I suppose we'll lower the reserve price a bit for Ebay, so maybe they'll go for less there?

Anyway, I would do this tomorrow, Thursday DEC 20 or by Friday DEC 21. I'll post here when the deal is done.
If orders come in by Saturday noon, I can probably get them to you by Christmas. I'm also willing to do overnight shipping through Monday, assuming it's available (I think it should be).
