Somehow, I'm the un-official Serious Business Band Thread-Starter for these boards.
Looker, an absolutely Amazing Serious Business band (
http://www.myspace.com/looker), has a few of their songs up for free, legal download. These songs are the A sides to three singles, the idea of course being that if you like these tracks, you'll head over to iTunes or whatever other digital music store you frequent, and buy the b-sides.
I'm pretty darn sure that you all will enjoy these. I've had the opportunity to catch this band live and I was an instant fan. Some of you may know uber-picky husband Adam. He also loves them. They're a female-fronted, guitar driven act, with obvious influence from the girl groups of the 60's and the punk scene of the late 70's/early 80's. A GREAT combination, if you ask me.
Here LINKS to mp3s of the 3 individual A sides.

Today Looker guests on ProductShopNYC Sirius radio show.
Today at noon, Thursday July 3, tune in to Sirius satellite radio's Left of Center channel to hear a two hour show focused on our favorite lady power-popsters Looker. The group makes an extended appearance on ProductShopNYC's Blog Radio show, granting blogger/DJ Jason an in depth interview and performing two brand new songs, "Animal Dreams" and "Stand Back," full-on live in the studio. The show was taped at Serious Business Music recording studio in Soho, NYC. P.S. Looker are the cutest interviewees in history, just so you know.
The band just wrapped production on their second full length album, their first for Serious Business. Six of the selections have already been released as 3 separate singles over the past few months.
