Toad's Place - 3/10

edited November -1 in OK Go
Hey guys...was wondering if anyone had a setlist from last night's Toad's show? Or any of the more recent shows?

I own mostly all of their music, but still didn't know like 40-50% of the songs played.

  • Wish I could help you out -- there were several new songs last night that I don't know the title to, maybe 5 or so by my count? I haven't been able to track down a setlist from this tour as of yet.

Just posted some photos from the show. Pretty fun time, nice crowd for a Tuesday night in New Haven...

Thanks for the reply and for sharing the pics! And yes, it was a great turnout for a Tuesday night.

Let me know if you find a setlist and I'll do the same.
  • ::pulls setlist from purse::

    Shooting the Moon
    Get Over It
    A Million Ways
    White Knuckles
I Want U So Bad (U? Seriously guys? I mean, I know you're into Prince and all, but...)
Oh Lately It's So Quiet (I'll shut up about the U, because IWUSB followed by OLISQ is quite possibly the greatest, sexiest combination of songs ever. EVER)
    Back from Kathmandu
    Don't Ask Me
    Here It Goes Again
What To Do (On Bells, preceded by talking smack about Katy)
    Last Leaf (Acoustic)
    It's a Disaster
This Too Shall Pass (My Favorite. Hands down.)
    Do What You Want
Skyscrapers (Also, very sexy. Screaming Damian? Tubular Bells playing Andy? Tim on Keyboards?! Yes. Thank You.)
    Good Idea At The Time
    Invincible

    Ta Da!
  • Double post, sorry!
  • Does Toad's Place still have the awkward partition in the middle in order to separate the over-21s from the under-21s? I always thought that set-up wasn't completely thought-out.

DJRose! Thank you so so much!

I must admit - I like hearing new songs live, but I did feel like the set had a few too many. Don't Ask Me and It's a Disaster were AMAAAAZING, however.
  • 8O I can't wait to hear them!! The "U" still bothers me though.
  • LOL..
U's and Prince. Really? I wonder if they're going to do that on the album or if it was just for the setlist.

Speaking of the Purple One, he's got some new stuff coming out, or maybe it's already out? His sister Tyka recently put out a new album. I only know this because I am in Minneapolis, the land of "His Purpleness". On the album she really sounds like her brother. scarily so. But live, well..ummmm..
  • So for all of you who have heard these new songs - what's the consensus?

Ugh yes. Supposedly to keep the under-21s from drinking, but they had that before they got shut down for a while for underage drinking, so clearly it didn't/isn't working so well.

Really?? 'Cause, like, 99% of the time, I'm like, "FEH I don't want to hear your new stuff, play what I know," but this time around, I really CANNOT wait to hear the new stuff. Like, I rock out to "White Knuckles" and stand there like a hipster when HIGA comes on. I feel like it's a very good balance between old and new.

"This Too Shall Pass" makes me dance like a crazy woman. As long as there's enough space around me.

Seriously. I don't know why they expected a little chain from keeping hordes of underage Yalies from getting booze. "A chain?? OH NOOOO."
    Toad's: 0, Underage drinking: 1

Oh, there's no reentry if you're under 21, too, which I suppose is to cut down on aforementioned Yalies drinking. Which is also pretty standard at most venues. But when we were there, some guy threw a SHIT FIT because his gf couldn't leave to get "pizza" because she was under 21. The guy eventually let them go and I was like, "Yeah, you don't go to many shows, do you."

Seriously. No ins and outs is like Going to Shows 101. When my sister turned 21, she would taunt me by walking out the door, standing outside for a couple of seconds and then coming back in. Well, she only did it at one show, but still.

Clearly you and I need to write Going to Shows 101.
