Does anyone know if the Friday night set will be among the performances broadcast and/or webcast on NPR stations, NPR.org and YouTube?
I was unable to go (to Bonnaroo or any shows due to wheelchair-related issues beyond my power to repair) and I'd love to see/hear the set, but NPR isn't listing all the acts it will be streaming.
For those who don't follow Amy on Twitter, she says that the set yesterday was "Amazeballs," that "the audience loved them," and that she got crappy video of the live performance of "End Love." I'll harrass her to come here when she gets back to post them for all of us.
Is "Amazeballs" a Damianism (Hmm... That sounds wrong. ) I've somehow missed, or does Amy also possess the power to invent entirely new language for each new and exciting event?
No, not the typos, silly you! Most downloaded ba(n)d ever? Where'd those stats come from?
(I'm trapped in my apartment, again, on a sunny Saturday, after an ill-fated attempt at attending Farmers' Market, due to a still malfunctioning chair... My boredom, my frustration and I eventually may find the answer on our own, but if anyone knows, I'd be interested.)
I was kind of suspicious of the furtive looks when the interviewer started things off in an unexpected way by asking about the Leno performance harmonies. I thought they might suddenly burst out with "It was fake! All fake!" * Andy's explanation of his part and how he achieved it were great, but then, in my opinion, Andy's the one with the most consistent voice (on many levels) anyway, so I wouldn't expect any less.
The WXRT links made my day, SB (What's your name/the way you like to be addressed? It feels wrong for me to type out your board name, somehow. Nothing wrong with bananas, of course, I like bananas... always take a banana to a party...Bananas are good.)!
Where was I? Oh yes! The WXRT backstage recordings: I love it all and several little details cause my heart to expand like a balloon animal at a birthday party being filled with the helium of happiness, including a couple things said in the interview (OTBCOTS influences, Manchestery") and Andy's voice in TTSP. But the best bit, the most magnificent addition to my day* is Wave of Mutilation!
I mean, the song always puts me in a good mood, and I have a multitude of different versions and interpretations, but THIS version is so superior in its ability to make me feel good, that it even surpasses many of Charles' performances!!!
Hi Christel, my name is Jade and yeah bananas are too good to be true, i want to try banana bread :)
It's good to know the acoustical performances have made your day :D
Oh and I actually ripped the audio for all the songs they played via realplayer so if you want it PM me your email address and I'll send the one(s) you want to you :)
So, presumably everyone who wanted the songs from Backstage @ Bonnaroo has asked the lovely squashedbanana to share them and thanked her even more profusely than I did.
But to follow up, I heard back from Marty @wxrt just now and he explained that Bonnaroo owns the content and is only letting them stream it for a short while. So if you haven't watched the interview a million times already, you might want to take another look before it's gone. http://wxrt.radio.com/2010/06/.....-bonnaroo/
Brygon posted this in general discussion, and since I'm not a mod with the power to move that post, I'm reposting here (in case some of you are like me and forget to check other areas of forums). I hope this doesn't violate the double-posting rules.

LOL, welcome back, Barbara. ;-)
Christel, no clue. I'll keep my eyes open for news of it, though.
Um. These are fucking amazing.
From here.
Those pictures are hot (and the boys don't look half bad, either!)!
So is the information in the last paragraph of this article about the video debut correct? http://www.digitaltrends.com/entertainment/ok-go-to-premier-new-video-at-bonnaroo-before-usengland-world-cup-game/

Thanks for that!
*I'm still apartment bound
I wish there was a way to rip Wave of Mutilation.
We could email the station's site and ask if they are willing to make it available. Sometimes that's all that's necessary.
Edited to say: Done. Now we'll just wait and see what they say.

Haha, nah it's not too late, you can ask me anytime.
It's not like I'll delete the files anytime soon anyway ;)
If you ask me I'll send you the file(s) as soon as I can
