Try to drum up local support. Contact local venues and promoters, telling them that you're interested in seeing them play there. If they've played there before, figure out which promotion company brought them in - they're more than likely the one who will bring them in again. Get your friends to do the same (even if they're not. Bribe them if you have to.). You can try contacting OK Go's touring company or management, too, to see what to do or who to contact where you live. It might be worth a shot, you never know.
Labels won't pay for bands to go play somewhere, especially abroad, unless they're sure they're going to get a decent audience and recoup the costs of having sent them out there in the first place, even for what seems like a short distance, ie, between the UK and Ireland. You still have to pay for transportation of the band, roadies, management, and equipment, not to mention the venue costs, housing... In order to be sure of that, they have to know there's an audience in the first place. If you get vocal, you're more likely to get a show.
In theory, anyway. I'm not sure how effective this'll be, but it's better than sitting around and twiddling your thumbs, hoping they'll come along.
