FIrst thing I checked (and found out) was that OK Go won the vote last nite! HUZZAH to all the fab ppl who've contributed to those amazing numbers!!! *cue party poppers, streamers, confetti, horns, cheers etcetc* : )
Who woulda thunk it'd take so much effort to prove that a video with 19m+ views would be more popular than one with 1.6m+ views? sigh. roughnecks are a wholly different order of ppl i suppose o.O
Just goes to show that Cyberbullying does NOT always hv its way...and also - the world has eyes and ears after all! ; ) so proud of the boys (and us for making this happen)! x
LOL, yeah, when I saw this round, I thought "yeah, here's where we lose to Rihanna and Eminem." But I'd rather lose to Rihanna and Eminem than Stone Sour any day. Even if the contest is rigged, there was an ad for another Fuse show that was about Corey Taylor being a Genius on the page right next to the voting. I'm sorry, it just seems counterintuitive for a network to proclaim someone is a genius and then rig a contest against them. "So this guy, we love him, and we think he's a total genius, but THESE people? We totally think they're more genius."
Since OK Go was the top vote getter for round 3, are people even voting for Eminem or Rihanna? Are they even asking their fans to vote for them?

I juz realised, that means we would be beating Eminem, Rihanna (twice), Megan Fox AND Dominic Monaghan (not to mention the other 38 entries) if we win this votedown.

When I posted earlier, FUSE was on the #5 spot in the countdown.
The boys ended up with the #2 spot. Which I actually find highly suspect. But whatevs, they beat out 38 other videos.
Well, TTSP definitely should have been at #1. To me, no question, it's the #1 video of the 2010.
But having gotten into the top 2 is still great. That many more people have had a "whuh? who was that?" moment, and a chance to learn about the band. And maybe it takes seeing OK Go in a couple of different contexts to realize how amazing they are. That's how it worked for me, at least.
From there... only a few short steps to world domination... BWAHAAHAAHAA!
Erm... where was I? I quite enjoyed voting (esp. when it involved sitting with friends, laptops, and tea), as it isn't everyday that you get a chance to contribute to something that gives the band greater recognition. And goodness knows these guys deserve recognition!
