Hear OK Go Interview (Tues. 3/22/05)

edited November -1 in OK Go
Wow, this is my first post on the NEW OK Go board! Hello, finally! cool.gif

Sorry for the short notice, but you are all cordially invited to:
WHAT: Indie rock radio show featuring a pre-recorded interview with Damian and Tim!
WHEN: Tuesday, March 22, 2005, from 1-3pm EST.
WHERE: "I & A Rock Route" at WHFR, the station Making Waves.
HOW: 89.3fm in the Dearborn/Detroit area or log onto www.whfr.fm for live webstreaming.

Sidenotes:
1. The interview was recorded on March 18, 2005 before the show at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, MI.
2. I have been out of the OK Go loop for so long, I must admit my lameness.
3. Setsumi is credited and thanked for some of the questions--not all were asked tho. (Sug missed her deadline, but she is still sweet.)
4. Some edits had to be made for FCC-friendly factors and to avoid any potential unhappiness from the station management, but the edits should still be obvious and hopefully humorous.
5. Thank you to Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Mike, and OK Go.

The live webstreaming works very well, but I cannot stay at the office during your radio show because it's midnight here in Japan. I HATE the time difference!!!!!!!!!

Aww, thank you! And thanks for tuning in! smile.gif

I wish my show time could be convenient for all of you, but alas, no. And too bad that I was running late for my show, cuz I ended up leaving out a few songs that I wanted to play, including...Kill Hannah, which I was gonna dedicate to the starpowerr*! yes, i have to spell it like that.

Yeah, the edits were actually fun to do, and I'm glad you approve. I think we did let a couple kinda questionable things slide tho.

Did you hear the whole thing? Did anyone else listen? (The interview was divided into 4 parts.) Did you hear QUIT YOUR DAY JOB? When we found the song, "Look! A Dollar," we couldn't stop laughing! Stunningly brilliant. biggrin.gif

If anyone wants to check out the complete playlist, you can go to the WEBSITE and click on the "Search/View Playlists" feature and go from there.

sadly i didn't hear the whole thing, my mental note didn't work out quite so well, haha, but i heard the last 50 minutes or so...
  • oh poop...i missed it! nooo =(
  • I didn't get to catch the whole thing...I had class to go to...but is it going to be archived on the website? 'Cause that would be AWESOME.

Yeah, an archive would be really cool. I didn't get to hear it either.

that would be awesome if we were able to archive our radio shows, but we only do live webstreaming. detailed playlists are archived, so you can look back at what was played when and view song/artist/album info.

i'm glad i decided to divide up the interview and spread it thru the show, cuz i think between intricatesilver and darbie they heard the total, or at least most of it together. so just combine heads...heh, no.

all we talked about was the new album/sound, Sweden, music (Quit Your Day Job), I-pod giveaway(s), Andy and Andy, Burleigh, Ara, Michigan connections, Longwave, tour experiences, fan behavior, and we started to talk about covers.

Damian rhymes when he talks. And I pretty much failed Tim (and myself), but I guess that's why I am not part of the Tim Nordwind Fan Club. dry.gif

hrm. i think i can be inspired to re-air the interview on a later show, maybe closer or around the new album's release date. it should be summer time then. how does that sound?
  • I would LOVE if you could play the interview again! Of course, I would obviously love to hear it ASAP, but whenever you could would be great. Definitely before the new CD comes out smile.gif

I am pretty happy with my show time, so I don't plan to be changing it. Are you available to listen at that time? I was thinking it would be a perfect time around the new album's release date, especially with it being summer time and hopefully little or no classes...

The time should be fine for me. If worse comes to worse, I'll skip my Econ class that day (if I'm still in school at the time). College is so convenient smile.gif

Maybe end of May/sometime in June? I don't know how long I can wait! I'm sure a lot of people (besides me) who missed it would love to hear it.
  • I may be in Paris In May/early June so not then!!! ha ha ha. I would love to hear it.
