In his profile said he is VJ, but now he is almost comedian or multi entertainer.
He usually on TV show and said "Joa, ka neun gu ya!"(Ok, go!) with hand motion.
This is the word on everybody's lips. He is really famous for this.
If any Korean will know about OkGo, they must think about Noh hong-chul or 'Joa, ka neun gu ya!'(including me!kk)
So, maybe someone(korean) let them know about that word and motion.
