All I wanna say is that if Hillary doesn't stop with this "intellectual = elitist" bullshit, I'm going to find it VERY hard to vote for her should she win the nomination.
Stop being such a freaking fascist, Hill (and btw, I'm not just throwing the word around lightly, one of the key elements of a fascist regime is rejection of intellectualism).
if she's on the bill, i can't vote for her. she IS a fascist asshole. and I don't throw those terms around lightly...
I'm joining you.
As a post in HP reminded me today, it's important to remember how great a leader Obama is, and why we support him with all our hearts, and why he represents us and why we'd be so proud to have him be our representative to the world- it's important to remember all that, instead of simply hating Hill. That's something I really need to remind myself, because in the past few weeks, I've filled pages upon pages in my notebook, recording everything Hill has done that shows her to be a corrupt megalomaniac. I'm sure that people are writing books about her behavior.
And so, she is no different than McCain. At least McCain's "stay in Iraq until things are stable" is an actual coherent theory, an actual political analysis. Hillary's plan to "totally obliterate" Iran, to wipe out a nation of 65,000,000 people, man, woman and child, without having the slightest proof of -and here we go again- weapons of mass of destruction, shows that she's seriously sick. She, more than McCain, is Bush III. And just look at what she said yesterday: she doesn't care if every economist disagrees with her gas tax holiday, because they are "elitist," as Rachel says. Bush's trademark is ignoring the advice of the experts, ignoring even the rest of the world, because he is "the Decider."
Mathematically, Hillary cannot, simply cannot, win unless the superdelegates overturn our votes. In that case, since we're on the subject, I have to say: if she steals the election, I am not going to vote for her. She will not be the lesser of two evils, for no "lesser" would vote for war in Iraq, vote for Kyle-Lieberman, and then plan to "totally obliterate" a nation for no real reason. She never even read the Iraq reports when she voted for war, btw. I honestly don't understand why anybody would ever vote for her; she has no qualifications whatsoever- the media spent exactly one day reporting on the records that proved she was a teaparty first lady after she failed at healthcare- so people always repeat her talking points or say something emotional as to why (and there's this: http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/geor...ace-in-eas.html ). But that's another story.
So, if she steals the election, I'm writing in Obama. I know that would make me disloyal to the party, but my loyalty is not to a party: my loyalty is to the United States, and there's no way I'll help elect someone who wants so badly to send American boys and girls off to war again.
GOOD LUCK TOMORROW! IN, NC, WE'RE COUNTING ON YOU!
Just wanted to add something here. Hill is being indicted in Paul v Clinton, and it's been really creepy how nobody is reporting on this. I mean, INDICTED. IN COURT. SHE HERSELF. I finally discovered why nobody's been publicizing it: Hillary Clinton successfully filed a SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) so the US press cannot report on the proceedings of the case.
The latest proceedings took place on 4/25/08 and the (Bill Clinton-appointed) judge ruled that Hillary Clinton will not be called to testify until after the November elections. Nice.
Other thing: check out the delegate calculator at Slate. She can only win if she gets at least 80% in all remaining contests AND counts FL and MI. Yeah, her whole bid is "the biggest fairy tale I've ever seen"- Bill Clinton. http://www.slate.com/id/2185278/
Meanwhile, Clinton showed how racist she is today, by saying she wins "hard working, white Americans" while Obama does not. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I don't care about Kentucky or for that matter, West Virginia. 21% of people in Kentucky said race was important to them when they voted, and that 21% also voted for Hillary. If nearly a quarter of the entire population is openly racist, it isn't a leap to consider how many people in Kentucky are racist but didn't bother to say it at the exit polls. You don't have to read very much antebellum literature to find out Kentucky is one of the cruelest places for someone who isn't white, and just to compound the issue, Kentucky did not integrate the way other southern states did: instead, blacks migrated away from it and Kentucky today has so few nonwhites that its racist population is left to fester in its own vitriol without having to actually face it. The same applies for West Virginia, which had comparable exit poll results, and boasts the poorest, whitest, and least educated population in the entire USA. Hillary knows this, and wallowed in it, saying she could get the "hard working whites" that Obama couldn't. As one HP blogger insightfully observed, Hillary made it ok to be racist by framing it as an electability issue: She sends the message, "don't vote for this guy because you know in the general election people will not vote for him because he's black. It's not that you're racist, wink, it's that so many other people are, wink.
The second way they gave their voters permission to be racists is by using thinly veiled code words like, "I'm looking out for people like you." The very thin veil on these code words was lifted when Senator Clinton flat out said she was looking out for "hard working white Americans." And presumably Obama wasn't. And why is that? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand the implication that he wasn't looking out for people like them because he wasn't one of them."
So whatever- Kentucky and West Virginia are backwards states that don't represent the country. Obama would never have won there and Hill knew it.
What does bother me is that THREE times, Hill gave one reason for her remaining in the race as Robert Kennedy's assassination in the June of the primaries, or JFK's; i.e, she's here because some tragedy will happen to Obama and she'll have to take over. She's basically said she can't wait for him to die. What really makes me mad is that her apology yesterday for her comments was "I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma was...in any way offensive." IF? And YOU REGRET? There was no categorical "I'm sorry" there- just an, "I regret if you were so sensitive that you misinterpreted." I do not want her as veep, b/c I'm pretty sure she'll have him killed, like Vince Foster was killed by the Clintons.
Hee hee, I love living in such a tiny state sometimes. Former Democratic Presidential Candidate Senator Biden just walked past my desk about 45 minutes ago.

Yeah... youre probably right. Managed to find out that the people in Brussels have started to panic because of all the new countries added to the EU. Let them in, I say. Or is it the West European Union?

Clinton's people are threatening Pelosi again. Pelosi said, "Don't ever threaten me again."
I love her so much! She's awesome!
