I don't have top songs, but how about my top 5 bands I'm recently into?
1. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (Dig!!! Lazarus, Dig!!!) 2. Animal Collective (the new CD, from what I've been listening to, is shaping up to be AWESOME: My Girls) 3. Aesop Rock (Coffee Zombie-themed? Yes please! I guess I should warn that, as it features zombies, the music video has lots of bad horror movie B-level blood splatters and whatnot. So, if that kind of stuff makes you sensitive, the video might not be your cup of tea. As reference though: I passed out in middle school after a safety video with fake blood. Granted, I've since become more tolerant of fake blood, but this didn't phase me much.) 4. AU (I cannot stop thinking about this band. They are amazing. Everything I like about beeping, beautiful music rr vs. d) 5. And, though certainly not knew in my attraction, I bears repeating: The Books (Their "music videos" only add to the experience of the songs: Take Time
OK. Top 10 bands: (in no real order) 1. Philip Glass 2. The Mountain Goats 3. Battles 4. Animal Collective 5. Arcade Fire 6. Aesop Rock 7. The Books 8. Tom Waits (I don't have any of this albums [travesty!], but "Chocolate Jesus" and "Down in the Hole" are enough for him to go on my top 10 list) 9. Yann Tiersen 10. Gogol Bordello
2. Animal Collective (the new CD, from what I've been listening to, is shaping up to be AWESOME: My Girls)

Edit: I guess it already came out on vinyl and digital (the 20th is for CDs). I assume the little vinyl store I occasionally patronize has since run out (as I didn't see it when I stopped by today). I WANT IT.
I've started buying vinyl all the time as it usually comes with a free digital download, so I no longer need CDs to transfer songs to my iPod. Thank God; I don't mean to sound like a prick, but it's true: vinyl has so much more personality.
