in that case, comnsider yourself lucky. i graduated high school in virginia and our transcripts only showed letter grades. the problem with that was that we werent on a ten point grading scale. anything under an 85 is a c and anything under a 94 is b. so you could have a 94 avg and a kid in new york applyling ot the same college could have a 90, but when theyre looking at your transcripts, your grades will appear worse, even though theyre not! and to have an 85 and a C!? that is like, insane!!! and anything under a 78 is a D!!! what the hell is THAT. that grading scale sucked asssssss
ahhh i had that K-8 it was awffuullll i was so happy when i came to high school and 90+ was an A
Ah you're all so clever! We don't have points or anything at my school, but we get predicted grades throughout the year and then our real grade at the end when we take the exam, and it doesn't get averaged out, which is good. But most people at my school are happy with Cs and Ds....when you get to A level only super smart people get straight As....I think there's like one person (that I know of) that's predicted straight As, and I sit next to him in chemistry hehe I am SO failing 6th form at the moment, I've got my mocks at the moment and my chem one is tomorrow and I just can't do chem because I'm stupid and it's hard. ARGHHHHH.
the way your school ranks people doesnt matter in the end, though
because when colleges look at two different peoples grades from high school, they make sure that they know how their grading system is
like if i had a 90 average, and amina had a 93 average but it said b...they would get her actual number grade and take her instead
otherwise it would be too unfair
they also do those kind of things in terms of what classes you can take
like how a buttload of schools lets you start taking AP classes in sophomore year...my school only lets it happen for seniors and juniors with notes and recommendations
