I"ve got two for you...the first one I have been whoring for quite some time now. haha. and if you didnt listen before, you should now! cause the new songs are GREAT!
Fractional----Edge Of The Worldand second one...they are really good. REALLLLLLY gooood. and it kind of sucks because i cant just link the songs on here, so you have to listen off the website. I recommend : pleasure to burn and celebrity.
The Berlin Projectand now its sai's turn...to try and convince us all to listen to her boyfriends band
hahaha. what do you have for us, little saiba??

They're very soft... and oh man can the lead singer sing. He goes falsetto in some songs too, but it still sounds amazing. Their new album was all piano and drums. AMAZING
The Velvet Teen.

the flesh (i dunno the site, but they're really fun electroclashy, 80's-esque rock)

they're like screamo dance. really short and weird songs. but i like them. you have to be in a particular mood.
the bravery... they're from new york and they're amazing. and they're getting super buzzed now, but if you can somehow find the song "fearless" on like limewire or somethign cause they no longer have it on their site, i'd highly recommend that over their other songs, although they're all good.

the cinema eye- another chick fronted band... in the same vein as the yeah yeah yeahs i guess. they're hard to classify though.

they're soooooo fun. and they're going on tour like starting next week and i hear they're amazing live, they're from new york and are playing with death from above 1979 in ny next week. you should go if you're in ny.

They're from Columbus so I second that!
Also... Cocorosie. I don't know much about them but I saw them open for Bright Eyes a few days ago. They're from Paris... that's about all I know, lol.

oh and Ash.
no, it's not bad... i means you're super cool...
impossile... the band i put hasn't probably has sold like no more than 70-100 cds... you are a liar
umm... indochine (w/ an i, not an e).
i heard some stuff last year by well, gee, who where they... i thought it was really really good... castanets. that's it. the album's cathedral and i rather liked it. let's see... oh, and devendra banhart.
i can't think of anyone else... haven't really discovered any "new" bands, been looking into old stuff lately really. *ponders more*
graham coxon. not new. but his new stuff is very good in my opinion. quite different from his older, more lo-fi stuff that i've heard. happiness in magazines is being released in the states this tues. (01/25).
the regular "locals," which i'm sure most of you have heard of but some may have not:
trail of dead, i love you but i've chosen darkness, what made milwaukee famous (recently heard a bit by these guys, it was good), spoon (whom i thought were a bit boring at first, but it's growing on me), explosions in the sky, zykos, dead texan
even though i'm not overly fond of them, bands i think will start to get a bit (or a lot) more attention in the states very soon, some of you guys may like them, so keep an eye out i guess:
kasabian (UK)
sunshine (czech republic)
and i also recomend this instrumental bad called Russian Circles, butttt they're like new and have no site yet. so when they do I will let you know.
p.s.
JEN! my friend told me about bloc party this summer, and i died. they're just so good.
knife in the water- mellow.
for those who know- no official website or anything, hopefully that'll change soon... but they're really good. here's what they said: "If you like Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, and New Order then you might like us, too ... My mom says I have a really nice voice." well put i think. one of the guitarists plays poker at my house and i recently found out that i used to work with the other guitarist's girlfriend... small world, ha ha.
benko- i saw them perform a year, maybe two ago and i was so impressed. unconventional lineup.
