Treadmill video. Brilliant. Fucking brilliant.

I've been trying to make some Roger Clyne fans for over a year. I've given away CDs and even taken people to shows with me. Nothing.

But this weekend I gave a CD as a birthday gift. Somebody recognizes one of the songs, "Ohhhh, this video is awesome" across the room someone else pipes up "Really? I haven't seen it." We then spend the next hour watching OK Go videos (over and over again) and instantly 3 or 4 people are hooked.

Come on people! Roger does a concert on the beach in Mexico TWICE A YEAR. Doesn't that beat some treadmills?

There was just a 5.6 earthquake over here. A nice size. Big enough to feel, but small enough not to cause major damage.

I like earthquakes. I'd much rather have them than hurricanes or tornadoes. But then again, I've never felt a really huge earthquake, so maybe that's why. I was only three months old during the '89 earthquake.

Fair enough... at the same time, I think it'd be a little exciting, but natural disasters really do scare me. We had tornadoes blow through here about 2 weeks ago, did SERIOUS damage to a city about 20 miles away... may even be closer... hurricanes are something i choose to not think about b/c i have family in florida and that scares the hell out of me when it's that season

I really don't understand the generic slutty girl costume for Halloween. I'd much rather try and completely change my appearance rather than be "saucy wench!" or "naughty police officer!" or "slutty lumberjack!"

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the naughty (I mean, what else is there to be for a Rocky Horror midnight showing?), but I just feel that it just not my cup of tea for regular ol' Halloween anymore.

I just saw the dearest little kids running around in gorgeous little Halloween costumes. I really hope they come to my place... I've got the Super Soaker fully loaded.

edit: It seems after the incident last year word has got around that our house is armed and ready for the trick or treaters I was so looking forward to a good squirting!
