  • There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando. They were shining there for you and me, for liberty, Fernando. And I never thought that we could lose, there's no regret, if I had to do the same again, I would, my friend, Fernando.....

  • Hellolover86, can u or anyone here tell me whether "Panic! At the Disco" is a good band?
  • Panic! sucks ass!!! Their lyrics are stupid and don't mean anything. Their songs are kind of catchy, but they pale in comparison with OK Go. They suck!
  • No. Just no. Please don't listen to any sounds they make.
  • Except for the sound of them leaving the music scene. That will be the best music ever made by them.

I actually like them. However, they're one of those bands that I like A LOT for about 2 weeks, get tired of, then rediscover with the initial intensity.

Generally, they're worth a listen though they do, sometimes, have the annoying tendency to be a bit FOBesque, though with disco interludes and generally better lyrics (since, I heard [though am not completely sure as to the validity of the statement] that all the lyrics come from various Chuck Palahniuk novels).
  • Like, when Fall Out Boy starts a label just so they can sign you, you might as well put a gun to your head.
  • Fall Out Boy, gag me. I'm so sick of those bands. They were never cool, but they were cooler before they got big.
  • Do "Panic! At the Disco" have a large following?
  • YES. A LARGE AND LAUGHABLE ONE.
  • My ride to school is a Panic fan. This meant we had to listen to their cd on the way to school every day for about three weeks. It was a hellacious experience.
  • I honestly don't care anymore about either FOB or Panic! I liked both at one time (and really am not afraid to say it) and still have a small place in my heart for Panic!. The problem is people who blow up these mediocre bands to be something amazing, and they're not. They sound like every other screamo/emo band out there, only a tad bit better. They're not the Decemberists, not OK Go, not They Might be Giants, not the Strokes, not the White Stripes... they're mediocre wth a good dance beat. People just latched onto them due to the whole "LEIK, WE'RE SO SCENE" movement that created a brand of conformity through the appearance of being individuals (kind of like people who try to be hipsters and really aren't at all because they're only doing it to "fit in" with other hipsters, but that's a different story altogether).

It is fun to dance to and scream along with... that doesn't mean it's good music... it's just entertaining without any real purpose or thought. It's like reality TV: SO stupid, but you can't help watching it sometimes for pure entertainment.

I'm really done babbling. I don't mean to contradict anyone, and I really do respect your opinions very much, I just like to slightly disagree sometimes. wink.gif

    P.S.

    THE REAL ABBA

So should I be worried that Ok Go tickets will become sold out quickly if I don't rush?
