(some of my friends saw the mars volta. They didn't have any supports and played for like 2 hours straight. Weird)
my brother is friends with them, they are all in a big group with murdoch (birmingham scene) they all used to hang round with some of the Editors band members,
the drummer in eaos has the best stripey suit i have seen in my life!!!

Aww, I'm sure they'll get a few gigs over there soon, don't worry! And for what it's worth, I think it's really cool that you pay attention to tiny Canadian bands.
well i also like arcade fire (they are canadian aren't they?), i wanted without feathers for ages but only found i had to import it for £14 and then i saw it on the shelf in virgin, (Happiness) for £9, what a glorious day!

I loooooooove Arcade Fire. Yeah, they're all Canadian except for William and Win Butler. They moved here from Texas but we've pretty much just claimed them as our own, haha.

that is so wild.
and its awesome that they play for 2 hours straight. Mars Volta has the longest songs, and they are all wild.
Yeah Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundtrack. "Twisted Nerve" is pretty awesome as well.
edit: on the note of Twisted Nerve, on a trip with friends, one of us would whistle it whenever we were in the dark to creep out the others. Come to think of it, whistling in the dark is creepy to begin with. [Speaking of the dark, House of Leaves is starting to creep me out in the best way possible.]
Speaking of Montreal, I can't remember if anyone is from the near-Montreal area. If you are, I have a rather stupid query. I've been researching the music scene in Montreal so I can find places to hang out before moving up there this August. However, I trust people over websites. Outside the Pop Montreal festival, what are the best music festivals/bars/venues in the Montreal area?

So, they're coming to The Knitting Factory in NYC on Aug 11th. Anyone from the NY area who are Tally fans going?
