EDIT: IHASAPROMDATE I should have known it wouldn't be a big deal, but I couldn't help stressing. now I just need a dress HAHA right well now I'm actaully excited for prom. woohoooooo
Mayo, did you have your fratellis concert yet? I wanna hear all about it! And congrats to your sister!
No, that's the last one on my list of now only three remaining concerts... 27th may. Did you hear their new single? I'm so excited as they'll be playing new songs and I think the album comes out AFTER the concert so we'll be some of the peeps who listen to the new stuff first!!! And yay, my sisters sooo round right now, hehe.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG I just looked at the fratelli's site, to see about the single (thanks to you ) and THEY'RE COMING TO BOSTON I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER SEE THEM IN MY LIFE, AND THEY'RE COMING! HERE!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BAND AND HOW RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED I AM!!!!!!!!! I am so excited that I am going to finish my paper right now, without taking any more 2-hour breaks!
and 2 AP Tests are over with, so I only have 2 more to go (why I ever decided to take 4 in the first place is beyond me, but it hasn't been bad so far.)
oh, and, missing classes because of AP tests and then having "extra-long" lunches afterwards so that you miss even more class. It only works if everyone in the class you're missing agrees to go at the same time- cause if one person goes earlier, then the teacher will know that the test is over and the other kids are just skipping.
-Green Porno with Isabella Rossellini. It's somehow fantastic and educational all at the same time. Might I suggest starting with "Bee" (My boyfriend and I have now taken to shouting "I'M THE STRONGEST" every once in a while) -Having a couple of jobs lined up. I'm still missing work for June, but I get to work outside and teach art to kids! Not half-bad if I do say so myself.
YES. OH MY GOD YES PLEASE. YOU ARE GOING TO BE THERE AND I AM GOING TO BE THERE AND WE CAN GO TO LA RONDE AND HAVE WINO ART WEDNESDAYS.
ohhhh this is going to be a blast.
And this is totally fantastic; it feels like there has been this wonderful migration of people that I know to Montreal that gets bigger every year. There are literally going to be about 8 kids from my hometown and you and a couple of kids I know from other places. Oh my god we can have dinner parties and sledding and this is going to be a blast.

I can't wait!!!!!!! I have questions for you, too! You know a ton of kids at Concordia, right? One thing I'm worried about is when I'm living in res, is it going to be a lounge full of mostly Francophones? I need people to watch Jeopardy with, etc.
When in August are you going to be there? If at the end, we should totally chill and have some adventures.
When you're there, to find where the parties are, you can just pick up a copy of the Montreal Mirror. It's free in most all metro stations (or in Second Cup, etc.).
Other suggestions (just so you know, I'm totally a keener, so I'm not always up on "the scene," but here go my suggestions anyway):
If you're going to be there on August 3rd or 4th, you can always go to Osheaga, which is the Montreal music festival. It's a bit expensive, but I hear it's pretty good. Record stores: Cheap Thrills (my favorite. It's tiny, the staff is great, and I'm a little in love with their crooked stairway, I don't know why), L'Oblique. In terms of clubs and whatnot, apparently Blizzart's is a party (I've never been, but I mean to go when I go back up), Foufounes Electrique (a.k.a. "Fouf's"... which has apparently "toned down" over the years, but whatever, it still had drunk French Canadians singing "Enter Sandman" at 2 in the morning), Tokyo, and Unity (it's a gay club and a blast. It's my absolute favorite place to go dancing in Montreal, no contest). For just plain ol' bars: Crescent is pretty touristy, but if you go during the week, it isn't terrible (especially if you're just looking for a place to hang out). Just be sure to skip out of it if you happen to be up during McGill/Concordia frosh week; then it'll just be a mess of really drunk froshies. Instead, go up St. Laurent. It's a bit of a trek up compared to Crescent (which is right off the green line), but it's worth it. I like Le Divan Orange, more manageable and frankly a whole lot chiller. While you're up on the Plateau, go to Santropol (NOT during the afternoon when it's a cluterfuck, but for dinner). It's (mostly) vegetarian and delicious. Oh, and the Friperie St. Laurent is right around the corner (a great little vintage store where I picked up this beauty. It's more on the pricey side, but given their selection, it's pretty great). I've kind of moved away from bars, haven't I? I really don't know bars on St. Laurent very well (I get too lazy to travel up there during the winter), but simply wandering around is fine; there is always something to do. I believe the Musee D'Art Contemporain is having the Quebec Triennial. The museum has NEVER disappointed and is free on Wednesday nights between 6 and 9. Sometimes, you can stumble upon a promotion and have a free glass of wine. More so though, the art is generally great (it's had some of the best exhibits I've ever seen, from rather unknowns like Yannick Pouliot, Guy Ben-Ner (who I guess is becoming bigger now, but it was expected as his work is great) to bigger names like Bruce Nauman and Vik Muniz). OH OH. On Sundays, walk up Parc along the mountain and you'll reach Tam-Tam. It's a huge drum circle and is a fantastic place to lounge on Lazy Sundays. If you go up into the trees, there's the Battle where people duke it out with foam-covered swords (or axes, or shields, or whathaveyou). Also, there tend to be acrobats hanging around, which makes me want to run away with them and join the circus every time I go.

*Hopefully* in Jesuit. Space is pretty limited, but most of my classes will be on the Loyola campus so it makes sense. Plus, Grey Nuns reminds me of an insane asylum.

Double post? Yes please.
Where are you living? In Grey Nuns?
