one year, i'm gonna be there. I am.....
Haha, well, you have an excuse, you live across the Atlantic. I have none- I live a mere hour from NYC, and I've NEVER been there on New Year's. Although my friend who lives in Manhattan says it's touristy and lame.
My friends and I were going to go in for this year's celebrations, but one of our friends got her tonsils out like, two days before, and we felt bad leaving her. So we just stayed at her house and played LotR Monopoly and card games while listening to OK Go really loudly.
I heard that the big thing in NYC is Halloween rather than New Years, is that true??? Haha! I was going to be Violet this past Halloween with her blonde bob and mom's matching jogging suits. Pretty easy costume!
I'm plannig on skipping out of New Years Eve in NYC in favor of ZombieCon 2006 (people gather, dress up as zombies, and just gamol through local convenience stores).
My cousin lives in the city and said that, though fun, New Years is kind of overrated simply because you're corralled into a little section and not allowed to leave (hence why people bring cups to pee in). Still, 'tis a party.

Yeah it's a million people crammed into like 3 blocks with really loud noise, a lot of trash, and really drunk people. Most New Yorkers hate it.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans, on the other hand, is awesome and everyone should go to it sometime....

I love this caption: 1.2 Million people. It's in his eyes.
He looks like Violet in Willie Wonka.

Lol, so true about zombies! I like how vampires go "bleh bleh" and have pointy teeth. They make me laugh. Count Chocula is my favorite vampire.
