You're 15? lol one of my sis' is 13 and she got in. (she scammed the dude). They are so much more lax nowadays with checking id! I had to give my ID everyother time I've been to much (like3). The mean lady wasn't there this time, maybe thats why.

Hahaha. Good. It was easier than I thought it would be. "you're over 16, right?" "Yes."
  • You guys should really tell QueenofthePosers this stuff--she's always getting hosed with non-all ages shows and apparently hasn't tried to get in (?) ...

Edit: Whoops, I meant thephantommilk, not QueenofthePosers (doh!).
  • Goodnight Suzy.

And yes I'm short. and proud!
  • Oh wait, I thought you were talking about the actual show. I imagine that's more difficult.
  • Ya shows are pretty hard to get in at clubs.

Just be happy you live in Canada Suzy, you're closer to being able to go to clubs than our underage american okgoies.

I guess if you go on a busy day at Much Music, they won't be so picky in letting kids in.
  • <just want to mention I meant thephantommilk up there, not QueenofthePosers--don't know why I goof those names up ... edited in above post>
  • Haven't told you yet, that I really enjoyed hearing about your ok go day. I was so bored in class, yet I couldn't stop smiling while I read about your experiences. Roachie wishes he could have been there w/ agent, fel, and rollopuzz
  • I'm really glad you enjoyed it Tempe! I was counting on you and Roachie to be at the show.

I wanted to make a roach broach for damian but I totally had no time!

    next time, fo sho!
  • Yes! I want you and fel to officially be the first ones to present a prototype to Damian and explain laugh.gif How do you sisters accumulate so many fantastic concert experiences?
  • hahahah! I like to go to concerts. They are fantastic. I try to go to free things. OK Go is the only concert I've ever payed for... lol.

If you scour the internet and free art magazines you can always find free things in Toronto. I don't really know about other cities. But I love Toronto so much because of this reason. So much Free love from so many rad bands!

Ya I was the first one to ask for a hug! Then everyone started hugging! It was a damian hug fest!

Kyaaahh!! Oh man. Hugging Damian. Wow. That must've been intense. And being the first to start the Damian-hugging... You rock!! biggrin.gif
    QUOTE (sherib @ Nov 17 2006, 08:29 PM)
I still remember what that hug felt like. And it wasn't any of that half-a-hug one-arm half-a-second bullshit. This was full-on straight-on body-body hugging.

    Booyah.

    Followed by "Thank you, sweetie."

Aaaaahhh!! I think I would've melted right then and there. "Booyah" is completely apt for that situation laugh.gif

[comes in about 3 years late on this one...]

The whole of Friday night (Chicago show) I was just walking around going, "Awww! I want a hug from Dan. That's all I want. He's like a teddy bear. Blah blah blah. I want to hug Dan!" So, lo and behold, as I'm waiting in line for the ladies' restroom after the show (I just wanted to wash my hands...), Dan comes down the stairs right by there. My initial reaction was "[gives UBER LAMEWAD thumbs up] Great show!!!!!!...[thinks]...HUG!!!" I totally just opened up my arms and walked toward him. Haha. He had no other choice XD So he was just like, "Thanks!" Then he realized I was zeroing in for the hug, which I think caught him a bit off guard, but he was a complete sweetheart and as we embraced (how romance novel does that sound?) he said something like, "I'm totally soaked with sweat!" And he was. I replied, "Oh, it's alright. So am I!" And then I was super smiley. Because it's DAN! He's so awesome happy.gif And then all these older-than-me women waiting in line for the bathroom glared at me like, "Oh my God. Can you believe the audacity of that youngling! How rude and immature!![harrumph] / [laser eyes]" I was really surprised that I actually did that. (I'm the person who has to be literally dragged over to people because I get terrified. Case in point this time, A-Ross.) But I'm so glad I got that hug!! I heart Dan.

Yeah. In conclusion, hugging OK Go is totally fulfilling (!!!!!!^nth degree)

    QUOTE (sherib @ Nov 16 2006, 08:31 PM)
It was like that in Chicago too. That guy is about a million feet tall.

OH MY GOD!!! Hell yeah. After the show I was standing next to him at the merch table, and honest to God I just turned and exclaimed right out loud, "HE'S HUGE!!" And as we were walking away I was just entranced by his height, and kept proclaiming, "He is SO TALL." Hahaha. He was WAY taller than me, and that usually doesn't happen very often, so I decided that I had to get a picture with him for that reason alone. And I did tongue.gif I was fond of the lead singer's little bro, the bassist. I referred to him as "Poor Man's Christian Bale." Har har.

    QUOTE (sherib @ Nov 16 2006, 08:31 PM)
Jerks ... Yes, Tim looks great. I had thought he looked trimmer in stuff online and on TV, and when we were right by him during the Friday show, I was like, "Wow! He looks so thin!" Good for him.

I totally agree! I was like, "Tim looks svelte! Sweet!!"

    QUOTE (sherib @ Nov 17 2006, 07:57 PM)
(haha--during setup before the Thursday night show, he told us not to touch Andy's wires, and I said, "If we don't touch the wires, can we touch Andy?" And he looked at me like I was a freak and said, "If you can get a clean shot at him, whatever--I just care about the wires" or something to that effect, lol)

(blows lung laughing) HAHAHA!!! Oooohhh maaaan. That is so freaking hysterical!!! You are my hero for that one laugh.gif Seriously, I'm going to be laughing myself to sleep with that one...

That's awesome to hear that everyone had such an great time at the show!! Thanks for sharing agentnumone ^___^

I like how the crowd keeps a little path for Damian. At my show, once he got into the crowd, they practically ate him and gave him no way out.

hahhaha! we were all shocked, I think thats why. He was engulfed the other times it happened. I loved that there was like a separation of the crowd though.

It was like Damian was Moses or something.
