OK Go in NYC again on Tuesday

OK Go and DJ Franki Chan will perform at Stuff magazine's Toys for Bigger Boys party Tuesday at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The event will feature a silent auction of Stuff's gift-guide selections with proceeds benefiting the HIV/AIDS charity Keep a Child Alive. In addition to goodies featured on ToysForBiggerBoys.org, attendees can bid on a lunch with Ivanka Trump and a behind-the-scenes experience at a Stuff photo shoot.

So close and yet...you know the rest. I'm in NYC and still have never seen or met them. sad.gif

    Which is so funny/odd because, with all of the videos you collect, I would believe you had seen them quite a few times. *hugs*

    Yeah, I'm kinda wondering whether or not I should. I'm afraid they'll think I'm obessive!!! Someone please help me rationalize.

    Very cool -- I just got my phone call so me and a guest are on the list. And I asked if cameras were allowed inside. They asked if it was for personal use or press. I told them personal and she said yes, that would be OK. So no need to hide my camera inside a tampon box. tongue.gif

    we've got 150 free tickets for the stuff magazine
    at the hammerstien ballroom.
    We're giving our loyal Juggling Club first dibs so if you want to go and you're over 21 email Akman@okgo.net.

    Hurry up and do it now because tommorow the floodgates open to non juggling fans.

    You should go! All OK Go fans are obsessive. We just are and I think they know that, so you shouldn't worry. If they wonder why you're seeing them again, just say that Kalinda forced you to go. biggrin.gif

    I think everyone has to be 21+, but you can always try.

    I think you should send an email just to be on the safe side. I think it's more of a problem if you have no tickets rather than too many.

    OK, so I may or may not be on the list for Tuesday - I haven't gotten a call back from the Stuff Mag people and I know I called before Ihave7stars, so I'm not sure what's up with that. I'm thinking that I'm not going to go, because really? Driving 2 hours (each way) and taking a day off of work for a "may or may not be on the list" isn't on my to do list.

    But that doesn't matter, because I'm going to DC101's Non-denominational Xmas show next Saturday!! I promise to give you guys all a complete rundown. :-D :-D :-D Back to the 9:30 club I go!

    If there is anyone in NYC who wanted to go to this, but didn't get that phone call, here's your chance as my "+1" for the show tonight can't make it. sad.gif Please PM me to coordinate. Oh yeah, you can also help me hang up posters at the venue and hand out stickers to everyone.

    aww i still wish i could go. i never got the phone call even after calling the RSVP line and emailing.

    i wanted to go and bring my roommate as well. since i'd gladly go as your +1 but i also have a LOT of work i need to do tonight and i was going to justify it by saying i got on the list...but since i didnt... lol


    anyway, have a good time for me sad.gif i'm sure it's going to be AWESOME. 21 and over show and people who arent really there for the music = amazingness for the ok go fans. can probably chill with the boys for a bit *le sigh*

    The band will only play for 20-30 minutes so I don't know what I'm going to do the rest of the time -- or at least until they start. Get drunk at the open bar and stalk them? Of course!

    Who's playing at that? I've never managed to make it but I've wanted to go to a couple of those in the past.

    So, umm, basically, I'm gonna go see OK Go and then hang out in the bar waiting for the end of the night. :-)
