hey guys um i'm new to these boards but not that new to ok go. i have some questions about them that i hope you guys can answer
1. How old are the members, and when is there birthdays?
2. Where is each member from and where do they live now?
3. Why did Andy Duncan leave, and did he take part in most of the making of Oh No?
4. I've noticed that Damian has a tatoo on his arm. Does anyone know the significance of it? And do any of the other members have tatoos? just wondering haha
5. I know Damian's married and Dan is engaged, but what about the other members?
The next two aren't really questions, but more like opinions haha
1. Do you think the band like celebrates holidays together and stuff and like they hang out together a lot?
2. Do you think that the band like listens to their cd's when there like in the car or like just hanging out?
alright guys, um sorry for like asking so many questions, but i was just so curious because ok go is just so awesome haha. and i figured that this would be the best place to ask because you people probably know the answers. ok well hopefully you guys can answer them. thanks!

You're right about Dan and Damian, and Tim and Andy have serious girlfriends.
Rusty Ross didn't play at all on 'Oh No', it's all Andy's guitar work.
Damian's tattoo is to honour his friend Timory, who was killed when she was 21. She was a musician and used to write messages on her arm (where his tattoo is) so people could read them when she was playing guitar. It's a star with a T in it and some of her other close friends got the same tattoo.
And here's Andy's letter to the fans:
Dear OK Go Fans,
For those of you who don't already know, I, Andrew Scott Duncan (Andy), have decided to move on from OK Go. It seems to me that I'm at a critical point in my life where my commitments at home outweigh those involved with touring. I've found that life on the road is not where I am at my best. Unfortunately, the timing of this realization leaves me sad, as I believe that this upcoming record that we made together totally rules and there are even better times to be had: the boys are going to move up and beyond.
They say that hindsight is 20/20. So only the future will tell whether leaving OK Go was the right thing for all of us. But for the moment there are a few things that I do know:
1. I will not miss Damian's relentless flatulence
2. Dan's penchant for boondoggling and swaggling
3. Tim's reluctance for being open about our feelings for each other
Aside from that, I also know one other thing: that OK Go is a great band. The most motivated, playful and talented group of guys I've ever worked with. All the hard work and play that we've done as a band has taught me life lessons that will surely endure through my midlife crisis and beyond.
In the meantime I've got music and yoga classes to teach and a film score/soundtrack in the works. Currently I'm producing a group out of LA/SF called the Seahorse Liberation Army making le dance music for le discotheques and loving every minute of it, scrapping it up, and sending it through the other guy's window.
So thanks to everyone who has supported me and kept me supplied with toothpicks & such. Rock on everyone, and fight the good fight.
I'll see you when I see you.
Love,
Andrew Scott Duncan,
taxpayer

I love opinionated questions.
1. I would be really, really, REALLY surprised if OK Go celebrated holidays with each other. I've wondered this myself, but I've come to the conclusion that when you are spending every day and nearly every waking moment with someone (sleeping, eating, playing, interviews, after shows, etc.), you tend to not want to spend anymore time with them than you have to (as a retired actor, I'm fully aware of this, given constant, never-ending rehearsals). Thanksgiving is a good example. Since they only had a few days to be with family, that's probably the only thing they did. And everyone goes their separate ways, too. Damian probably went to LA to be with his wife and may have even returned to DC to hang with the folks. And Rusty might have headed back to Worchester to hang with his folks. Perhaps Dan went back to Chicago and Tim.......sat in a black hole somewhere, waiting for the next concert.
I would guess, however, that if nothing is scheduled during the 2 1/2 month "hiatus" (Mid-December to early March), they'll find some way to collaborate together. Gotta stay fresh when it comes to the AMW dance!
2. As for listening to their own music, I also doubt it. Damian has mentioned that listening to his music (and making love to it) has its own sense of megalomania. I'm sure they played it when it was first released, making sure it sounded ok, figuring out places that needed to be tweaked, what they could do differently in concerts, etc. However, since it has been over a year and after playing the same songs hundreds of times, they probably stray far from it and do not listen to it simply to listen to it.
I'm now waiting for someone to post pictures of all the boys having Thanksgiving dinner together. Damian's trimming the turkey, Andy is flicking Tim in the ear, Dan is picking at his food, J orge is telling everyone about the hilarious subject titles floating around the board...
EXCELLENT
2) Thank you mixtape for the awesome little blurbs. Always cool
3) I definitely agree with Toiletdog
Blah blah blah... I think my brain exploded sometime over the last 24 hours. And this disco music may or may not be helping. Sorry >.<
And I'm Natalie, btw!
PS - Your sig makes me crack up every time I see it XD
Andy is one thirsty, thirsty guy. Everywhere I look it's 'sip,' 'swig,' 'drink,' 'gulp,' 'chug...'
I hope he has a tank for a bladder.

They were in the December 2005 ish of Blender I believe. So about a year old.
And wrong you are, haha.
Well. I know there's been some use. (Like when Damian was stoned in a hot tub at 16 and talking about how math is the only truth in the world....) But like, I doubt they're like addicts or something, haha.

He seemed to genuinely believe it had become illegal to sing about it, but he still had his "I'm sooo funnay and charming" tone.
