About how weed is wrong? He sounded like, shocked that the guy would suggest such a thing, but I don't know. He's not a supernerd about it or anything.
He seemed to genuinely believe it had become illegal to sing about it, but he still had his "I'm sooo funnay and charming" tone.
is there anymore information about this? like anymore to the story?
o and i have another question... what like nationality is each member, like for example what origin is "kulash"?

Lithuanian. Damian once said in an interview that when his great (great? I forget how many great's) grandparents came to America their last name was spelled K-U-L-A-S. He said he wished they had left the H off because being named Damian Kulas would have been really cool.
I don't know about anybody else. I've been wondering about Konopka though. Polish?
Kulash is Lithuanian. Konopka sounds Polish. Ross is Scottish. Nordwind, I'm tempted to say Nordic or something, but I think it's English...
Let's not forget he's Jewish, so maybe his great-great-great-grandparents name was like Nordwinameshugana or something. (kudos to anyone who knows what meshugana translates to in hebrew)
Of course, after googling it, I discovered there's a town in Germany called Nordwind, and there's a naval operation that's German-Finnish, so it probably descends from around there, maybe?

Ooo! Can I tell them all what meshugana means?! It's Yiddish for "crazy". I am quite meshugana. I once saw a can of nuts in the TJ Maxx called "Mashuga Nuts"
(kudos to anyone who knows what meshugana translates to in hebrew)
When me and my sister were trying to figure out the lyrics for DWYW, we thought that "machine built for two" was "meshugana" even thought it wasn't even the correct number of syllables.
Aww, I forgot about American Thanksgiving. I bet Damian's parents just flew out to LA since Trish and her family are out there now. Speaking of OK Go holidayness:
um wait a sec. what about damian being stoned? can you like expand on this story please haha
It was a story that he told a fan after a show one time that I read about on LJ. Basically, he was stoned in a hot tub at 16 and going on about how math is the only truth in the world. Or something like that.

whenever my mom and I pass a crazy homeless person on the street, we turn to each other and say "a nukka meshuga." we're not even Jewish...
about the "Nordwind" name... it's definitely a german name. (and it means....yep, "North wind", LOL). Konopka is polish, but also a common name in Germany as well (which is no wonder since Germany and Poland have a certain history together, are both situated next to each other and many polish ppl live in Germany and vice versa). I _hope_ that Tim's family wasn't forced to leave Germany in the 1930s/40s .... .

We can't neglect the fact that Damian is a hardcore caffeine addict.
Kay, I love you.
Now if only I could work the tight pants. Then I could be pseudo-Damian.
