omg so im really hungry and theres like no food in my house.. and then im like wait lets try the PB and cucumber thing.. but then i go to the kitchen and theres NO BREAD ahh!!! man another day i guess =/
sorry to bring up marmite again, but electra i had to inform you that my mom likes marmite! and apparently she used to eat it when she was living in england! (long before i was born, my parents and sister lived in southampton). so yay for marmite!
My description = This gorgeous black goo that's kinda salty which you usually spread on toast but I have found is glorious with unexpected things like Frosties... It's lovely.
Don't be fooled by this seemingly harmless, loving description! It is really rather gross.

i take it they sell it in the US yeah?
It is very much a British thing, so if you do find it, it's going to be in a store that sells international products. And yeah, it'll probably be expensive. It's not something you're going to find by strolling into ShopRite. (Although ShopRite has started stocking PG! PG! In ShopRite! Who would have guessed?! I wanted to call you-know-who about it and squee, but then I remembered we weren't talking, and got all sad.)
Also, don't buy it, for it is teh gross.

oh great, youve set her off about marmite again =p took me like a week to calm her after the last time!
Is this a common occurrence??

The question is:
What do you prefer? CHUNKY or CREAMY peanut butter?
??????
Depends on my mood. I grew up with creamy. But I can go for chunky sometimes.
My FAVOURITE PB, however, is this certain brand (can't remember the name now...) of honey peanut butter that I've only ever found in Cornucopia in Northampton. I can eat a 12 oz. jar in under a week. Kind of like I just ate a 400g jar of Nutella (actually, it was store brand Nutella, so it wasn't as good) in three days.
sorry to bring up marmite again, but electra i had to inform you that my mom likes marmite! and apparently she used to eat it when she was living in england! (long before i was born, my parents and sister lived in southampton). so yay for marmite!

YAY AMBERS!!! (my new name for you)
Andy, you can be quiet. Please Thank you.
Katy, did you try the marmite and frosties thing???? It's glorious!!! Yeah, me going on about marmite is fairly common. But Andy isn't even aware of that yet. He was exaggerating. Poor innocent boy hasn't got a clue...
Finally, seeing as it's Pesach today.... PB on matzah!!! yum!!!

yay more nicknames!! and i think i have made a decision to wait until i am actually in england to try marmite. i'm planning to go next summer to study abroad, and i'll try marmite there as i'm sure it'll be better than if i were to eat it here. if i buy it from that worldmarket store its probably gonna be a ripoff and kinda stale haha.
the battle of creamy vs. chunky has no winner with my roomies - we have both haha!
I take each flake at a time and dip it into the jar of marmite... Just a tiny little dab on each flake. I don't know why, but something about the sugar and the salt together is just magic.

No, I've only had it on toast, but I can't imagine it being any better on Frosties.
Oh, but it's just not true...
*sigh*
Ambers my love, you must come to London and see me and I shall open your eyes to the wonders of marmite.
Yep
They're called Frosties over here.
That'd be overkill.

Just a tiny little dab on each flake.
