Then they'll definately remember you. You could make them welcome signs and everything!!

Haha. I can't figure out whether your parents really really love you. Or they're really cruel. Because I would DIE if my parents ever came to a gig with me.

Haha, while I love OK Go, my love doesn't extend far enough for me to go to the ewie Brisbane Airport for them. And besides I'm missing Tilly and the Wall AND the Kaiser Chiefs for them, that's sacrifice enough!

Holy crap. I just realised that I'll be at their first Aussie show EVER! Wow. Coolness.

i think its cruelty as my dad has decided he'll be coming to the Kaiser Chiefs show too. I don't know how we'll survive that weekend, someones gotta crack...
  • "dude we could have totally kidnapped him he's so skinny"

LOL. No way, he's really just a 5'8" very muscular guy who happens to be stretched out a bit:

I managed to come onto Tim in the most hideously vulgar way (I said I wanted him to be my dentist because I wanted him in my mouth)

that would have been bad, we weren't going very fast-it would have been just a love tap!

has anyone else had embarrassing run in's with the band? It'll make me feel better...

The second itme I saw them, was the day after Andy's birthday, so I got im a red sox shirt. I was trying realy hard to get their attention so I could give it to them along with sme cookies I baked. I finaly got Tim's attention and I screamed "I brought andy a present and some cookies for all of you" or some thing like that. Only he didn't hear the part about the cookies for him, and he looked away all sad, like all I cared about was Andy. sad.gif
  • oh, that's so sweet! What type of cookies were they? did you do them all on your own (from scratch)?

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG laugh.gif ...yes, I bet he remembers that one... basically you have separated yourself from us mere mortals LOL

well, Andy was at starbucks sitting outside,I asked to take a pic with him-and as he got up, I put my purse on his table, which was unstable-the weight of my purse, combined with him moving tipped it over, spilling his grande cup of boiling water on his hand. Some landed on me(which hurt ) but HIS WHOLE HAND was burned. T and I just stood there like two assholes, and stared at him as he tried not to cry/curse/scream.
He was nice and said he had to go. But later in the night as we walked back to our car, we saw him and he offered up taking a picture again.
    ugh...still so embarrassed...
  • wow i can only imagine how speechless i'm gonna be the first time i meet the guys. i only went to one outdoors event thingy after which the guys didnt come out. D= i blame it on the half-drunk guys in the front chanting "O.A.R."(they were coming on stage next) as soon as Ok Go played their last glorious note of "Don't Bring Me Down". oh the agony of not getting to see them. but i swear when i do, my throat will close up and I'll forget how to speak English. I'm not the rowdy screamy fangirl type...I'll be scared to death as my obsession festers and eats as my insides to say something not too awkward. anyway, all of your first experiences seem quite bearable...even good...at least compared to that girl who stole Damian's pin. grr
  • I've never met any rockstars, thankfully. I was completely embarrassing the first time I met my husband! I'd probably faint or something.

The story about the girl who grabbed Damian and took his pin...nothing really surprises me anymore, some girls are really crazy. I often think it must be like temporary insanity or something to make you think it's ok to do that though.

Off topic, but seriously, Damian is taller than 5'8", isn't he? I mean that would make Tim around 5'2"...that just doesn't seem right.

he's gotta be like 6'3, 6'4, cause when I grabbed him-my face was in his armpit, and no offensive BO may I add..

haha. When I met Andy I was really shy and I realized later that I didnt even introduce myself. Actually now that I think of it I don't think my sister even said a single word haha. And my mom was there because we were at dinner and she was taking the picture and was all like "oh we saw you crossing the street. Are you staying at the hotels over there because we are?" He just did like a little nervousy smile and I was like oh great he probably thinks we're some creepers now. Tip: Never meet one of your most favorite people in the world with your mother. I guess thats not as bad as spilling hot water on his hand haha. No offense.

He's 6'3". He told me so himself. smile.gif
  • see my sister has this friend that goes to like every concert ever and makes sure she meets the band and she is best friends with SUM 41 and i want to go to an ok go concert with her so she can pretty much do all the talking but im like still there lol
  • DJRose, thanks for the info, cause man! I wasn't going to sleep well if I didn't know that;)

I'd hate to meet him and be like, "dude, you're short!", seriously...I have issues about guys who are as tall as me or shorter.

What a relief, I can go on fantasizing.

I have a friend who's constantly meeting famous people, on airplanes, backstage at shows, shopping malls...it's unbelievable the luck she has! She's the person I'd want with me if I had to meet them, if for anything else to dial 911 when I collapse when Damian says hello.

    You all are brave.
  • 6'3"?!!
I guess it's a good thing I've never met him; I'm 5 flat exactly...it would be awkward looking up.

It's not so bad, Sally - I'm only 2 inches taller than you are! Trust me, it's worth looking up at him. wub.gif

Nooo!!! I'm 5ft 3, and I assure you, the view from below is just as spectacular. Lol.
Anyway when you take photos and have hugs and stuff, he bends down a little to be more at your level. Such a sweetie!
