such a good song. I loved to wail along with it in the car when I was upset or feeling hurt.
Let's see, (though these don't make me sad so much as make me think about sadness, if that makes any sense):
"Hold My Hand" Kimya Dawson (it's about child abuse and the first time I listened to it, I was at work and had to go to the bathroom because I was afraid I would break out crying in the middle of the office) "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her" Simon & Garfunkel "Naked as We Came" Iron and Wine "O Valencia" The Decemberists "I will Never Forget" Kimya Dawson (her songs make me cry more than those by any other) as much as I'm a little ashamed to admit it, "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" Death Cab for Cutie "The Next 10 Minutes" from The last 10 Years official cast recording (it's a musical where about a couple where one character moves forward through the relationship and the other moves backwards, so at the beginning of the play she is ending the relationship and he is just beginning. This is the only song where they are in the same time and it's their wedding song.
ald;fk'sdfkdsafsdfj ohhh my god. no, that one makes me sad too, but probably for different reasons. one of my FAVORITE bands... (former, actually) used to cover it while they were playing one of their own... it was seriously amazing, and since that band has since dispersed.. it makes me long for the old times where i used to follow them all around the midwest, thus sad b/c they aren' really around anymore
