  • You're the best Juniperberry!

Wow, so they WERE approached for that Riva coffee ad? I wonder what their suggestions to them were! And "we're not above doing a commercial" Bah!
  • Yay, thanks JB!

I'll go listen right now smile.gif
  • I just have to comment on this:
    1) They said the next album is going to be more dance-y. I guess that means no more subtle, dark undertones? I kind of loved that dark side of Oh No though.
But also, Oh No was really, really dance-y: I can't sit still through It's a Disaster, for ex.
So this next album, to top that, is gonna be, like, coffee with speed.
    2) How's it going? laugh.gif

Hm, from what they said, I'm thinking "dance" in a more "Let's Get It On" (Marvin Gaye) sort of way, ha ... heh
    We can only hope biggrin.gif

I KNOW! When they said that it all made sense! What really annoyed me about that ad was the man who was so clearly a rip-off of Tim it was ridiculous!

And you're all welcome! smile.gif I was very lucky, I found the recording software only seconds before it started!
Now i have to go hunting for more Splendour stuff!

edit: I've found the official pics from Splendour:

Yeah, the first thing I thought was "MORE dance-y?" is that even possible?! Wow, now I'm getting really excited for their next album!

Haha, there was a total Tim wannabe in there wasn't there? But they stuck in some random girl...like it'd make a difference and detract from the fact that they were ripping off OK Go.

Brilliant Splendour pic hunting skills! I was so depressed this morning because everyone was talking about it on the bus sad.gif

    Edit:

    dear Australia,

here's what's happened backstage at splendour in the grass, so far: Tommy Lee arrived in a diamond encrusted helicopter, J.K. Rowling started a foodfight with Barak Obama, and our bassist Tim had a quick shotgun wedding Christina Ricci, who (we were surprised to learn) doesn't actually speak enlgish. Apparently for her movies she just memorizes her lines phonetically. amazing. but other than that, it's been pretty mellow. good coffee backstage. I suspect that's one perk that they don't extend to the punters. and the triple j people are all really nice. this is the first time we've met in person, after so many telephone interviews. they were surprised that we don't have treadmills with us. we were surprised that they don't have radio broadcast towers with them. surprise all around.
