So triple j was deep in Splendour over the weekend to dig around for news and gossip...
Tim and Damian from OK Go! reported that they were approached by the company who made that instant coffee commercial. The one that uses a synchronised trolley dance in a supermarket, you’ve been seeing on tv.
OK Go didn't do the ad in the end - but not because they didn't want to.
"We're not above doing a commercial for someone. We were like, we'll try it. But we weren't going to do a stupid dance for them. So we gave 'em three really good ideas and then they just went ahead and tried to make our dance with somebody else doing it anyway."
To see more of the band's crazy ideas check out the ‘wallpaper version’ of the clip for their song Do What You Want.
I know we've already heard this from the interview but I still think it's pretty cool that they're the very first thing on the Splendour wrap up! I reckon triple j has a bit of a crush! hmm... I'm not sure why they put a '!' after OK Go.. oh well. It's still awesome that they have top billing!
i'm really annoyed i didn't get to go to splendour.... i live like half an hour away from it, but i didn't manage to get any tickets.... would have loved to see ok go, as i still haven't seen them live....
