I got the idea to make this thread when I wrote this:

Do you guy's believe in Ouija boards?
I was playing with my friend, and we got some really creepy things. they named her grandmother's name when we asked it to prove I wasn't moving it (I don't know any of her grandparent's names) but when I asked it my grandmother's name, some were calling her "bitch", which she was possibly the nicest person you ever would have known, and some called her "love" and some spelt out my mom's name.
Then we were talking to a guy named Greg, who's friend, JD, was in jail for 4 more eyard for killing him over money. I don't think my friend was doing it, because we both forgot his name, asked again, and then he spelt out Greg again.
We stopped playing for a while, then we started later, and they all kept saying goodbye. We asked one if the spirits were mad at us, and they said yes...needless to say, we stopped for a while.
Then we played again later, and I asked where the one we were talking to was, and they spelt out "behind", and I freaked out, and said goodbye.

in the Happy List thread because other people were talking about Ouija boards...when I realized, it did not belong in the Happy list thread.

So...
Do you believe in ghosts? Have you seen one? Played Ouija?
Tell us all about it in here smile.gif

omg thats really creepy, ive got a story, when my sister was little she would always tell my mom and me that she saw little green men walk from the bathroom to our attic and they would like talk to her and stuff and i always knew there was a ghost in our basement bc when i was down there somthing tapped me on the shoulder and i turned around and there was nothing there and my dog started barking at the corner, and then 2 nights ago my parents finally believed my sister bc my mom heard someone in our laundry room in the middle of the night and so she got my dad and he walked into the kitchen and something had pushed him into the cabinet and he has a gash in his head and then they went to bed and when they woke up there were broken plates on the ground that they didnt break, and they told our neighbor about it and i guess when people where digging his basement they found teeth and little bones and stuff so like our house might be over like a burial ground howw creepy!

    ill bring mine over too!
  • I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not, not in the typical sense at least. I do, however, very much believe in spiritual presences. I don't really believe in the typical phantom, white ghostly body, but I very much believe in presences and hauntings.

When I was little, one of my friends was in a bad home situation. Her grandparents were often drunk and it seems as though her parents were in a similar situation. I only went over there once and remember feeling mildly terrified. My mom wouldn't let me go over again; she felt betrayed that my friend's mom hadn't told her about her home situation. My mom wouldn't have cared if my friend came over, she just didn't want me in a dangerous situation. My friend moved away and I unfortunately never kept in touch (I hope she's alright). Still, the house gave me the willies whenever I happened to drive by on my way from my house to town.

When I started dating my boyfriend and told him where I lived, he said that his mom lived right nearby. I asked him to describe the house and, as he continued, it was with growing horror that I realized that the house he was describing was my friend's old house. He told me that his mom and stepdad found the house in terrible shape (no sheetrock on some walls, rooms without paint, old stains, dirty everything) and renovated it from top to bottom. He said it was unrecognizable. He offered to take me over sometime and I had a minor freakout.

Still, one day we drove over. When I walked it, it was completely different, as he said. The house looked beautiful and new and shiny, wonderfully decorated and cared for. I talked with his Mom and both she and my boyfriend agreed that, though renovated, the house occasionally has a "bad vibe." When walking in, people have commented on whether or not something bad had previously happened in the house.

It's odd how houses have a distinct feel. Like a pet, one can tell if it's been abused or has bad memories. It's not a haunting per say, but I think it's pretty close.
  • That's creepy. I once saw something on tv where a cat always walked around the center of a kitchen, and then the owners later found out from the neighbors that a lady killed herself right there, in the center of the kitchen.

I pretty much believe in ghosts, I just find it so hard to believe. I don't know if that makes sense. I believe I have had encounters with a few, and I believe others when they say they have had encounters, its just like, woah how is that possible? But I also think that of like say, how cell phones work. Hmm.
  • i sorta believe in them but like i dont believe in like the spirit speaers or w/e there called
  • What do you mean?
  • you know the people who say they can "talk" to the spirits i dont believe they are telling the truth
  • Oh, yea I think many are making it up, but I believe that a few might be able to. What do you think of Sylvia Brown?
  • OMG I LOVE WATCHING HER ON MONTEL!!! now her i sorta believe can
  • Yea I've always loved her. I suppose it's possible she's also a farse, but she seems pretty legit.

Magic. Cell phones work by magic. Pure and simple.

No I'm serious. I had a communication systems class in college that dealt primarily with how cell phones work (I'm an electrical engineer) and the more the learned about how they work the more I realized there's no possible way in the world that can work!! Yet, I have one and it works. So it must be magic.
  • hahaha, yeah, i don't know. i believe her, but i haven't seen any other psychics do their thing, so i wouldn't really know if she seems fake or not.

    i believe it so far.

Haha. So many things just seem so unimaginable. I always question how things work, like say us, how do we understand these letters? Stuff like that.
  • Harry Houdini was very anti spiritualist

you should look into he war on it, its very fascinating

I've seen some, but I couldn't tell you who.

There was this one show, and they had these thing that read the electrical enery or something, because apparently spirits have it or something, and they said they had to keep it away from electronics, or else it would give falso readings, and when it spiked by a tv, they said there was a ghost there. What!? Are you kidding me!? Liars.
  • anybody watch the poltreigeist movies??
  • Nope. Why?
  • I've seen them.
  • those used to creep me out only bc of that one old lady with the creepy voice
