    yeah but knowing that they will be soo close yet so far is killing me

    i guess whoever goes say hi to them for me! and im giving my parents the silent treatment and writeing on a notepad only like in little miss sunshine

    o i'm sorry Christy! maybe your dad will reconsider before the show? you do have some time. maybe you should try and convince him or be like i'll do all these chores and stuff if you let me go. idk maybe it'll work. but I know i'd be really upset if they were so close to me and i couldn't go.

    yeah right my dads mean he always does this whenever i get excited about something and he never changes his mind, thats why im on this board so much bc i always have to stay home even when they go out to eat they have to bring me back something bc my dad hates when i go places

    umm i think that might be worse my mom is not no i couldnt do that that would be terrible....oh and this silence treatment is working BEAUTIFULLY! i didnt answer both of them and my mom was like in a worried tone " you dont need to get all mad"

    o ya good idea Sally. One time I tried to convince my parents to let me go see an OK Go show in Delaware or Maryland or something. And I didn't think they would let me since it's a bit far away, so me and my friend both told our parents that our moms can both come so they can like hang out and we'd go to the show (and then maybe look at a college or something dry.gif) And my mom is usually up for anything because she knows how much fun i'd have, but my dad is usually the one that needs convincing. But I couldn't go, not because of being mean, because they weren't mean, I actually just couldn't go, I was doing something that weekend. dry.gif

    Another thing that might make them feel better is if you brought friends with you. Are your sisters older? Have them come if possible- that'll calm your parents down. But whatever you do, do NOT tell your parents you're going for a fake ID.

    yeah my sister is older she lives in muncie they wont let me drive up there either...but she would lie for me if i told my parents that she was going to meet me halfway!

    I don't even care if we're telling you to cross your parents- my parents are ultra-strict and gah, when I was little, we weren't allowed to open more than 1 birthday present, we couldn't sleep over friends' houses, we couldn'tblahblahblah....it's not like you're doing something bad, because all you want to do is watch a show and say hello to your fav musicians.
    You're probly one of the best daughters any parents could ever want, and you deserve a little treat.

    (oh, man...how I rationalize...)

    This is bad since we're trying to be good here. But what if you told them you wanted to see what the school looked like or you had a project to do and wanted to see their library. Then say you wand to go w/ a friend or your sister to help you out.

    omg you guys should be soooooo proud of me!! ok heres what happened...............my mom walks into the room stands in front of the door and says i need to use the ocmputer so i get up and walk towards the door and she doesnt move and she goes im not going to move until you tlak to me and i just kept on trying to push her outta the way and she said you shouldnt be so mad! and i go mom you dont understand im in love with this band and they are going to be so close and you guys wont let me go for no reason and she was like i understand (and this is where my acting skills come in at) i was like uh no you dont! and let tears just come outta my eyes like streams! and she just kinda looked at me and after like 3 minutes was like i would let you go but you told me yesterday it was for students only and im all for you going its just how are you going to get in and get a ticket? i have no problem in taking you to ashleys and her taking you up there but.....and i was like ill pay for her gas and er ticket i have been saving all my money up for them! and then i was like if i can get a ticket b4 i leave can i go and i was like well ashley is going to order them so she will have them if you can order them off the internet.....and she was like ok ill talk to your dad and she was like we just worry for your safty (bc they think you guys are like 80 year old creeps like on the movies and commercials) so walaa a brighter day has begun!! TIMMY HUNNY ILL SEE YOU SOON!!! hahaha

    might i am yet to talk to my sister about it ill talk to her tomarrow i know she will take me if i ay her gas and ticket and she will lie with me and when we get there we will find some ids!

    gosh dont get to excited bc then ill et to excited and if i cant go bc i cant get in im going to be dreading it! omg i soo will i know for sure i have to bake Dan his own cupcakes and tell him that he is a special rare konopka (if you read the second to last page of the ultimate girly thread you will get it) but im going to make sure i give them all something bc i love them all and ill just try not to show to Tim that im obsessive and want to marry him lol acually i think ill get the hiccups and pass out haha
